I thought it was about time to form a Laura Trio Thread, since the first visible signs of construction are now getting underway.

Laura Trio Moving Forward

120 day selective demolition phase will remove hazardous paint, asbestos and toxic mold from buildings. Construction fences should be up next week, rebuilding targeted for December 2005.

This is good news. I am concerned though about the fact that the article discussed unresolved issues between the Fund and the City regarding subsidies for the project. I thought this had been resolved. It sounds like the Fund will not complete the project without some sort of city help which with Peyton will not be forthcoming. This will be a problem.
