GRAND RAPIDS -- Break out the hard hats again.

Downtown developers are planning to break ground on a string of long-planned projects this fall and winter with combined budgets of nearly $450 million.

While notoriously optimistic construction start dates are prone to last-minute and often lengthy delays, the list of downtown projects poised to start in coming months is among the most lengthy and expensive in the city's history.

Haha, yeah, I showed the article to a few others and did an "I told you so" about downtown being on the verge of the next development boom. ^_^ For them, a dead tree hard-copy always seems more convincing.

Did you see the GR Business Jounal ?

Inside the last page (street talk) there is reference to GR c hapter of Urbanplanet.org

They mention JOE DOWNTOWN and the projects that are in the works...
