Map Collections of township bounds

Maybe most on this board have already discovered these but I found them very interesting since most maps don't show townships let alone township boundaries (ok Hempfield is around Greensburg but does it border Penn Twp. or Unity? etc.)

Found these on rootsweb a site devoted to Geneology:

Allegheny County (Pittsburgh)

http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/maps/pa/...ty/allegh/usgs/

Washington County (Washington)

http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/maps/pa/...ty/washin/usgs/

Westmoreland County (Greensburg)

http://www.pa-roots.com/~westmoreland/maps/

Bulter County (Butler)

http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/maps/pa/...ty/butler/usgs/

Beaver County (Beaver)

Armstrong County (Kittaning)

http://www.pa-roots.com/~armstrong/maps/

Lawrence County (New Castle)

http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/maps/pa/...ty/lawren/usgs/

Fayette County (Uniontown)

http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/maps/pa/...ty/fayett/usgs/

For those from Philly on the board this is the map link for the whole state:

Enjoy :)

It seems that everything in Westmoreland County that's not Greensburg, Latrobe, or Ligoneer is in Hempfield :D

^^ from a driving through perspective yeah I would have to agree. The New Stanton and I think Irwin interchanges are both in Hempfield as well as the Greensburg 30 bypass expressway and the Amos P. Hutchinson Turnpike from New Stanton to Delmont (which is where the Dick's, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and all other commercial regional centers for the county, plus the majority of US 30 for all those Steeler fans making the pilgrimage to Latrobe and St. Vincent's pass mainly through Hempfield (last leg of the trek is entering Unity Twp.) Also don't forget the counties only mall is in Hempfield. On the map it doesn't look like much but as it surrounds the largest city (greensburg) and borders the New Staton area and the Irwin/Jeannette area as well as reaches towards Latrobe, it's position is very strategic. :)
