Why free parking is bad for everyone

An iteresting read on Ezra Klein's Vox about just how much "free" parking actually costs and how it's essentially a regressive tax on the poor. 

 

Orlando is certainly guilty of many of the transgressions noted - downtown could be the shining example where this isn't the case, but there will have to be enough retail so that residents and workers need not have a car to obtain necessities.
