I'm truly amazed with how active the Providence Forum has become in recent months, it's nice to see so many people so interested in the future of the city. We continue to pick up new members with regularity, welcome to anyone who hasn't been specifically welcomed (and to the lurkers... join in, you can see we don't bite! :) ).

With the activity, many topics are sliding off the front page quickly, for people who read the forum daily, that's not much of a problem, but for people who check in less regularly, there are entire conversations that have slid to page two (or 3 or 4) and might be missed.

How would people feel about a subforum within this forum devoted to active and proposed projects?

What that would mean is there would be a subforum at the top of the page called 'Projects', with it's own set of threads within it (see the 'Transit' subforum under Boston for an example). It would mean that there would now be two pages to check on each visit for new posts.

The current section would be left for general discussions, such as retail, our own made up hopes (like the aquarium and Peter Griffin Stadium), transit, parks, government...

Only actual proposals and active projects would be in the 'Projects' section. With it's own home, the projects section could (would) be expanded, each proposal we have it's own thread, we can have photo threads for each project where members can post their construction photos...

New members looking for specific information about new projects won't have to sift through pages and pages of other stuff to find the new projects. Captial Cove, OneTen Westminster, and Parcel 2 are all on page two of this foum at the moment as an example. The new subforum should allow them all to stay on page one.

I can make this happen, but if everyone is fine with the way things are for the time being, then I'll leave it be as is.

Also, if there are any other suggestions you'd like to make, feel free.
