  1. I know things in Boise have been quiet lately, but the lack of recent posts in this thread is discouraging.
  2. I'm still here. Haven't posted for quite some time. There hasn't been much to say lately. Lots of proposals in Boise but little progress on any of them.
  3. Got any renderings of this 350 floor tower???

Everybody must be on vacation, except me. There was a pretty good fireworks display in Caldwell. Much better than last year's. I watched it from my front yard as I always do since I live less than a mile from where they are launched. (It's nice to not have the hassle of parking and traffic.) There is another fireworks show scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) in Meridian. It is a make-up show for the one that was cancelled on the Fourth due to bad weather. Technically speaking, there wasn't a fireworks show within Boise city limits. But there was show at the state fairgrounds in Garden City. Of course, these could be seen in Boise as Garden City is completely surrounded by Boise. I didn't see the show, so I couldn't tell you how good it was.
  5. I would be very interested in living downtown, but I would have to win the lottery before that can happen!
  6. Okay, you two, knock off the pi$$ing contest! Randy likes Tacoma better that Boise, and that is his opinion. Boysee Boi likes Boise better than Tacoma, and that is also his opinion. I think both cities are beautiful in their own distinct ways. However, both cities are worlds apart when it comes to climate. Boise's climate is a semi-arid desert, so of course those "ugly hills" are brown for most of the year. On the other hand, Tacoma and the whole Puget Sound area is a rain forest compared to Boise. In fact, just to the west of Tacoma sits the Olympic Peninsula, one of the rainiest places on the planet. So, naturally, the mountains and hills around Tacoma are much greener. As for which city is more beautiful, Randy said it best, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Hometown pride plays a part in that too.
  7. I really like that first shot. Here's a night shot from nearly the same angle:
