My sister checked out Trader Joe's a couple of days after it opened and was very disappointed. She keeps hoping Fresh Market will come up to the University area.

whats wrong with hhgregg?
I'm curious, too. I bought my HDTV from the one in Greenville last spring for an excellent price.

Dorman High School was built mostly from revenues tied in with selling its old campus. By doing so it decreased the burden on the taxpayers.
I wish that was true. I own property in District 6 where Dorman is located, and my property taxes doubled when they built it.

That's the old Harris-Teeter on Reidville Road that's been leased, not the one at Converse Plaza on the east side.

Are there any good 'meat-and-three' restaurants in town, aside from Wade's? It is always so crowded at lunch time.
Spartanburg Regional Hospital Cafeteria, Mary Black Hospital Cafeteria, Peach Blossom and The Clock at Boiling Springs are a few right off the top of my head.

Assuming this is northward up I-85, Exits 60 (SC-101) and 68 (SC-129) come to mind. Exit 60 is primarily trucking terminals. Exit 68 has nothing on it.
Exit 68 is about to have Adidas on it.

Thats the one. The previous location is some other pizza buffet restaurant now, from what I was told. I think that whole strip of land from Lan-Yair to Zion Hill is going to explode once Easton really gets going.
Unless something opened there yesterday, the old location on Fernwood-Glendale is empty. There was a pointer on the sign for a while directing people to some pizza buffet place down at Cedar Springs.
For my part, I'm hoping for Target (Super or not), B&N or Borders, Best Buy or Circuit City and a stadium-seating theatre for Easton. A Kohl's would be icing on the cake. That would almost eliminate any reason to go to the west side of town. Actually I almost never go over there as it is now. If there's something I need from one of the stores over there, I can usually wait until the next time I have to go to my office in Greenville and then combine all my errands while I'm over there.

The one that burned near Ingles? Drat. I was hoping they would re-open in the previous location since it's more convenient for me.
Oh well, at least that will be better than getting in and out of Pizza Hut, and we'll have chocolate chip pizza again.

It's also north of the new 85. There is not an exit ramp there so I really don't know the route that you would take to get there except from business 85 and then go over the new 85.
Actually, you would go under the new 85 if you got off on business 85 and not over it.
Headed south on new 85, you can get off at exit 69 and make a right just after you get off the exit ramp. That one is a narrow, winding road, though.
Best thing is to exit I-85 to I-26E to business 85S and then off at the first exit

Fresh Market's web site just has "Coming soon" for the Torrence Chapel site.
