Ok. I know this has been rumored for some time but a buddy of mine was at Bass Pro in Macon recently an was told we won't be waiting much longer for a store here. I'm not sure if this was just idle talk but I also heard from a realtor that there are plans for a super target in the midland area. I also heard this before. Not sure if any of it is true but they did not spend money demolishing the old swift mill for nothing.

Looks like a Bojangles restaurant is being built on schomburg rd.

I see dirt is starting to move next to Mongos on veterans pkwy. There has been a sign up for years for veterans commons. Is this finally moving forward?

I see there is land being cleared next to the new Kia dealership. Anyone know what this is? Also the real estate transactions last week show several multi million dollar purchases. I see there is a Pound Construction sign on the lot next to the Waffle House on Veterans in front of Lowes. Any ideas on what's going there?

This is awesome. I was really hoping this land would be developed. There are so many retailers that would do well in columbus. I just hope they can have a development that is more of a walk able lifestyle center unlike Columbus park crossing. Something similar to atlantic station in Atlanta.

Any hints as to some of the stores possibly coming?

Whatever happened with Super Target? That was supposed to happen in that area a few years ago. I also keep hearing that there might be a Cheesecake Factory coming here. Anyone else hear this? I think it would do very well. Restaurants seem to thrive in Columbus.

Five Guys is confirmed. Any news on Super Target?

I've also been hearing lots of rumors that Five Guys is coming to Columbus. Anyone else heard this? I love em so this would be great for me.

Anyone know what is going in the old Krystal downtown next to McDonald's? I know at one time Starbucks was thinking of opening up there. Anything is better that that old rundown building.

Does anyone know if the land at the corner of Williams Rd and Whitesville has been sold? The for sale signs have been taken down. this is a nice piece of land.

I noticed the old Firehouse club is being torn down. Does anyone know whether this property has been purchased? Also, the old Carmike building next door is being torn down as well. It would be great to see these two properties redeveloped.

Anyone know if something is being developed across from the Rite Aid and Wendy's on JR Allen Pkwy? I saw Heavy equipment bent unloaded on a site that was supposed to be developed years ago by Jacoby development. I know at one time there was talk of putting a Super Target over there. Any thoughts??

I was out at Columbus Park Crossing today and noticed heavy equipment next to Ashley furniture. Wonder if something is finally going in there. They cleared that lot years ago but nothing ever happened. Anyone have any ideas about what might be going on?

What does Columbus need to be a more mainstream city. I hear a lot of people complain that Columbus is boring and small etc. I was just curious what people want here.

Anybody know what the rezoning on Williams rd across from Southeastern and Harvey Lumber is? The rezoning signs show Allen development as the applicant.

I can't believe no one has posted about the article in the Ledger about the new publix and zaxby's coming to cross country plaza. I hope that redevelopment has the same impact as the landings on airport thruway. Any thoughts?

Anyone know what is being built next to the Hampton Inn on veterans parkway?

Anyone know what the construction on JR Allen is for? They have started grading the land and laying sewer lines on the property across from Rite Aid. This must be a large development. Also the property behind Rite Aid is under contract according to the Woodruff development Website.

A new indoor go-kart track and arcade will open Saturday in the old Mansours building. The name is zoo city. This could be a welcome addition to the area.

I read that Rob Doll Nissan has purchased land to build a new dealership in North Columbus. I wonder if this will be an Infiniti dealer or just a new Nissan location. Has anyone heard anything about the retai center at the intersection of Whittlesey and Moon Rd? They bagan clearing land a few months ago and now nothing seems to be happening.

It's not an IHOP. I know the owner of IHOP and his next location is going next to the new Holiday Inn in Northlake Crossing.
