  2. Of course people in the other cities think about he noise of the transit system, etc. If they didn't, then buildings with noisy train running next to them wouldn't cost less (due to less demand) than others that doesn't only a block away.
  3. Got direct URL to this page? I browsed around the city site, but could not find it. Thanks.
  4. Uhm... The one on the left is Merchants's Row now, and the one on the right is Merchant's Row during construction.
  5. ^ That photo makes me want to knock down the People Mover track.
  6. I hope they don't make it permanent. What a waste of electricity. Surely there are better things to spend the energy (i.e. money) on in the city.
  7. Yeah, I think it is taller.
  8. Lafayette and American since 1917 http://detroit.metblogs.com/archives/2005/...ney_divid.phtml More here.
  9. Oops, somehow it double posted.
  10. I just went by the National Theater at lunch hoping to learn more about what's happening there. I was told by someone who was working in it that they're going to restore it into a theater (stage kind). I'm not sure how trustworthy that info is, but I'm excited nontheless.
  11. I just wanted to say that it's amazing to me that you guys know the names of all these neighborhoods. Seriously, I 'm not sure if most of the Detroiters know any more than east side vs. west side.
  12. I really doubt that they're new windows. They don't look new to me.
  13. Could you provide a bit more detail on what your requirements are (how large, budgets, etc.)? I work in the same building as Kraemer Design Group who has pretty good understanding of what's available in Detroit. I could ask them if they know of any buildings that'll suit your organization. Too bad about G.A.R. building, though. (Ugh Illitch! ) I have this dream of Detroit having a subway with the G.A.R building being one of the stations. I don't know why G.A.R seems like a good fit. Anyhow, it'd have been great to have organization like yours in it!
