We definitely need a hardware store downtown. Corner of OBT and Michigan is the closest mom and pop hardware store I can find, J&L Hardware. Awesome hardware store, just wish they were within walking distance.

Yeah - I close on October 12th, with my walkthrough on October 5th.

CO - is Certificate of Occupancy - which I believe they are getting for each floor. From what I've been told is that Closings are starting in October for floors 2 - 15. Maybe thats why you havent received a letter? I was directed to Elaine as well regarding my move in date. I had to call her twice as well (both with detailed messages) but she did call back. Just a little FYI from The Vue - After you sign your closing paperwork you can hand carry anything you want to the building. Your move in date is when you get use of the elevator and loading dock for large furniture items. The time assigned to your move in date is for a 4 hour period.

I agree - there have been a TON of problems along the way and that they should be bending over backwards getting people in the building already. This too is my first home purchase, I put my deposit down 3 years ago. I just want to get in there and get settled before I get married and my fiance moves in.

Attention Vue Owners - I just got an email with my new move in/closing dates. The email also states everyone will be receiving this information tomorrow via fed ex. Not sure who's in the boat with me but I'm really sick of the vue right now. They never have their story straight and its something different each day. I wouldnt be surprised if these dates dont move again.

Didnt know some units were given 2 spots. Wayyyyy back in the day when I put my deposit down I was told 1 unit, 1 spot which didnt make much sense for the units with more than 1 bedroom. I'm now the lucky owner of a 2nd spot that cant be rolled into my mortgage because of how the Vue has it written in the contract.

I'm in a 2 story unit on floor 10. Anyone buy an additional parking spot?

You might want to call them - I was on the phone with them today and was told they are moving Closings to October since they have so many people who cant qualify for mortgages. Be on the lookout for another fed ex package in the next few days. I dont know about you, but I'm sick of all the date changes and just want to move in already.

If you really look for it you can see it on I-4 from a few angles. Can't wait till it's easily visible.

No, my unit is not a corner unit. My unit is situated around the elevator. There are 2 of the same units on floors 8,10,12,14. It's a pretty cool floor plan because there is a long hallway leading in and then it opens up. If you look on the Vue's website they are units A16 and A17. $549,00 sounded pretty high to me so maybe it was a misprint or they read it wrong, I don't know. All I have to go off of is what they told me yesterday. Anyone who bought at The Vue and is picking out interior colors for the wood floor, granite, ceramic tile, ect. should definitely go in and check the stuff out in person. I picked my colors out yesterday and the colors do look a little different than the pamphlet The Vue sent to everyone. I thought they had some really nice choices to choose from. If you make an appointment on the weekend they have an interior designer that will meet with you to help pick colors free of charge. She is extremely helpful. I am a 23 year old guy and I had no idea what matches what so I definitely needed her help, LoL. Also I found a place that makes granite knobs and handles for kitchen and bathroom cabinets. They claim they can match any color of granite so I'm debating whether to replace the stock knobs with granite ones.

Back in July or August of 2004 I purchased a 2 story loft w/ about 1,300 square feet for $305,000 at The Vue. I met with some people yesterday at The Vue and asked if my same unit was still available (there's only 8 in the building). They told me that one is available for $549,000. Blew me away, had no idea they had gone up that much. They also mentioned that construction on the 5th floor ceiling has started, or will be starting in the next couple of days. If you look hard enough on I-4 you can see The Vue peaking out. Can't wait till the building is easily visible on I-4.
