I love this perspective! Prime will be a decent bit taller, they will both be dwarfed by the other though!
I counted the floors on that original render and I counted 41 floors? If one or two “floors” are mechanical curtain it makes sense.

What are you guys talking about? They are literally working everyday.
Based on the schematics, the foundation will be unusually shallow for a building that size. But from the pictures everybody is posting it looks like the digging is even shallower than the schematic. If I were standing at the edge of the pit, I’m sure it would look much more impressive.

Hoping your perspective is more representative of the truth than mine. I'm trying to understand how such a small (by area) and shallow hole is taking so long to complete. I'm hoping my perspective is being colored by my desire to finally see a new tallest rise. #skittish
Yeah, There seems to be a lot of “activity” (moving dirt around) but not any progress. I hope I’m wrong but I’m suspicious it’s becoming another 1001.

Wow! That’s unbelievably shallow. I hope it’s because that area has bedrock just below the surface. The Millennium Tower in San Francisco has started tilting and they’re having to spend hundreds of millions to stop the tilt.

I may have answered archilove’s question prematurely. On SSP they are questioning when the “actual” construction will start. Now I’m wondering if this will go on hold like Amazon 3.?

does this have financing?
If you’re concerned it’s going to be another lake Palmer you can lay your fears aside. If the pit is getting dug you can assume it’s under construction with this developer.

How deep will they dig for this? Seems way shallow for a skyscraper. The other two buildings of his were dug way deeper.

The very word “finish out” should signify the floors that are predesigned. The remaining are probably customized buildouts. Does that sound accurate?

Honestly that looks awful. It looks like lights are supposed to be encompassing the blocks but some of them burned out. If you’re ocd this will drive you crazy as it looks incomplete and like an afterthought.

Is wide more unsafe?
No, I’m talking about the appearance. A wide building may be very tall but the width can make it appear shorter.

1000 feet in Miami makes me nervous, I wouldn’t live in that tower.
It’d be nice if developers would stop doing wide towers and make them taller and skinnier.

Despite all the concerns about hurricanes Miami is one of the fastest growing cities in the country. I have lived in both Nashville and Miami before, the pace of Miami’s growth is insane and a bit overwhelming
I wonder about the rock layers and whether the buildings are setting on solid ground so to speak. I would imagine the engineers figured all that out but I do wonder.

So is 1001 on hold after this parking structure is done or not?

Please SWVP, please build 1001 at 600'...please?? I'll personally lease a corner of one floor plate...
If they’re stopping with a garage it’s going to be like a missing tooth in that area.

Is this a real proposal - http://users.neo.registeredsite.com/7/0/5/20955507/assets/2021-04-24_Nashville_Master_Plan.pdf
I haven't heard of the developer but the portfolio doesn't seem too horrible.
According to diagrams these towers will reach 634 FT for the shorter one and 756 for the taller ones.
Actually it’s 734’ and 858’

So I’m to assume this is really happening? After 1001 is stalling after the parking garage I really felt this one was getting hyped then stalled too.

Stripping away all the legitimate reasons why, it's so disappointing to me to see that second Amazon tower completed instead of the 1001 Church one.
So 1001 is only building the garage?

Anything new with this project?
1010 Church Street (60 story/750', 500 unit residential tower, 7 story/60,000 sq. ft. YMCA addition), $350 million

I agree. Here in GA I have lots of clients I see who work from home but now are required to go into the office two to three times per week. There’s a decidedly pronounced shift back to offices for sure.
