The sound of the cleaning crew vacuuming the floors as I'm stuck in the office for a late night!!!! -
We still need to get a grocer, more mainline shopping, and (IMO) a movie theater established downtown. Add a couple of true nightclubs, and downtown would be hoppin'!

It appears we may have some shoppes opening in the Nissen building downtown Quizno's, Bruegger's Bagles, and Dilworth Coffee interested in Nissen Retail Space Journal Aritcle While this would be more for the lunch crowd and I'm a bigger proponent of local business, it's great for downtown when national chains start to think it's a good area to have location in as well!

I like Athens and enjoy my business trips there. I really enjoy wearing my University of Tennessee necktie when I visit my customers there after a Vol defeat of Georgia!! (Yeah, I know, I'm risking my life. But I luv doing crap like that!)

According to the Fox8 10' o'clock news, the PF Chang's should be opening within the next month. The rest of the stores should be ready Octoberish or so! -
