  1. Detroit is really blessed when it comes to company recogniziton. People don't see Crest, and think of Cincinnati.
  2. Yeah, a 7-mile light rail line does nothing for a 600 sq. mi. city.
  3. The inside is downright awesome. Better than any other Athlete's Foot I've seen. If someone could tell me, what is J-Bee's? Never heard of it.
  4. It's been a while since someone's posted a P-O-D. So I guess I'll pick up the momentum. Detroit Tastefest, New Center Area July 4, 2005
  5. So this Bob guys is Detroit's little D. Trump, eh?
  6. Chicago, Houston, a lot of cities...The CowParade is like huge...go to www.cowparade.com..They're in South Africa right now..
  7. I think street art lightens up anybody's day. I mean, walking down the street and seeing a car covered in sequin..Who wouldn't smile?
  8. So it's basically like the Cow Parade, but with cars...
  9. Retail depends on much more than the amount of residents within an area. Traffic and location is more important to a retailer. The demographic of their potential customers is also important. (One thing Detroit still has to conquer.) Another thing, don't underestimate the power of the Super Bowl. Half of Downtown Houston was empty, with the exception of a drive-thru McDonald's and a drive-thru Bank-One, about a month before the 2004 Super Bowl. By the week before the game there was little to no vacancies. There's going to be a lot of companies that will be more willing to test the water in Detroit, simply because of the Super Bowl. It gives them the impression that if the city can draw in these type of events, that business will be booming. ~my 2 cents.
  10. I'm not gonna lie to you, Woodward looks so important in that photo. I'm loving the Compuware banners too, are they all around downtown? Are they planning to get rid of the rectangular stoplights downtown with the ones in the foreground, because they look outdated?
