  1.

Unfortunately, I didn't have it with me last night. I did have my glove, believe it or not; however, my daughter had been distracting me and I wasn't wearing it at the time, so my attempt to catch that thing was out of self defense.

On the up-side, my little girl did get the ball that Bubba Bell went diving over the right field wall to catch for the 2nd out and then was again hit right to him on a line drive for the 3rd out of one inning. He tossed it in to Luis Segovia, and Luis tossed it right to her (and I reached over and snagged it). She slept with that thing last night.

That's awesome RT. As far as I'm concerned, that's what baseball is all about.

  2. Excellent shots, RT. :D I love both of the previous subjects as they are indicative of the changes taking place in the West End.

BTW, Thanks to all making contributions as NYT is away. Hope he finds time soon to visit us again. ;)

    Great shots RT!

    Hey all,

    I'm back in the states!

I've got a bunch of catching up to do, so I hope I'll be back on board in the next day or two.

  3. This is very short notice; however, would anybody be free to show a visitor from Macon, GA around our fair city tomorrow? He's going to be in town having his motorcycle serviced at Touring Sport over on Laurens Road and is hoping someone may be free to show him around while he's here. I've got a weekend completely booked with other items that I've been putting off for far too long as it is, but I offered to see if anybody here is free to guide him around.

You may remember seeing one of his photos on the Photo of the Day thread back in November.

Sorry RT. I'm heading out of town today, otherwise, I would have loved to. As a matter of fact, I've got a friend thinking about moving south coming next sunday. I'll be showing him and his wife around. :D

Selling Greenville is the easiest sales job there is.

  4. I have to admit, I haven't a clue what the official name of this place is. If you were to ask my wife, she'd probably tell you that I just refer to it as "the pull-off with the silly people wading in the water at the foot of the falls."

I believe that is known as Wildcat Falls.

  5. Greenville, based on my experience, is very accepting of those not from Greenville. Whether it is someone from New York, or Canada, or another part of South Carolina, they are going to be accepted by 98% of people in Greenville. I say 98%, because there are always some idiots that have closed minds (and that is true everywhere). The sampling you will get on this board is likely to be a good one, since some have lived in Greenville their entire lives while others moved to the area at various points in their lives. Virtually all will tell you that it is a special place with great people.

I will agree 100% with you Greenville. I've found that in Greenville, there is not an issue. I think its because the population is so diverse.

On the other hand, if you want to talk about Spartanburg..... :D

  6. I agree Greenville. I find it arrogant that the city thinks it can cherry pick. Not only that, how could it possibly be legal? Are we sure this is the case? It seems to me that its heresay.
