UPdate {sodEmoji.|} Pinnacle at Cross Creek
This site plan gives a more detailed look at how the square footage of the shopping center will be divided.
The information provided also has this to say:
Colonial Properties Trust is building The Pinnacle at Cross Creek, a
one million square foot mixed use development, in the northwest
quadrant of I-10 and SR-90. The development entails almost 900,000 sq
ft of retail space, 45,000 sq ft of office space, a theater, hotel (Embassy
Suites) and will also spotlight the Tallahassee Auto Museum.

A shot of our downtown was shown on CNN tonight as they were reporting on the Democratic Primary do-over. They showed a shot of Monroe Street at College Avenue facing the Regions Bank and Suntrust. Kinda makes us look small....maybe they showed somwthing else before I tuned in but nonetheless, I've never seen a shot of our DT aside from the phallus on national TV.

looks like that's the plan...

Florida tourism down
Tuesday, March 11, 2008
The Associated Press
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida's economy, already staggered by a stagnant real estate market and tight credit conditions, is also being hurt by a drop in tourism, which officials said tourism fell by 1.5 million visitors in 2007.
Preliminary estimates showed 82.4 million people visited Florida in 2007, compared to 83.9 who came in 2006. It was the first drop-off in visitors to Florida since shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the northeast.
"Trends suggest that some vacationers traveling by auto may be staying closer to home," said Bud Nocera, president and CEO of Visit Florida, the state's private-public tourism agency.
The Legislature's top economist, Amy Baker, said the national recession was largely responsible for the state's tourism downturn.
"The two places you'd see it the most are in sales tax collections and rental car surcharges," Baker said. "The housing was a homegrown problem, the tourism is not."

I like that! Exactly what we need. You think FSU/FAMU should foot this bill? You know they have no money. But who else could we get to foot the bill?
Do they even have signs in the downtown for the IMAX? What about out on the interstate or other parts of town? I've noticed in other cities w/IMAX's that they are advertised heavily and have lots of signage for them.
BTW: I even like the top of Gameday blue.

Whenever I walk or drive by that building w/friends, I tell them of your idea and they all agree that's a great idea........and yes I always give YOU credit for it.
-
You are right FL, they should paint that globe part blue to jazz it up a bit.
-
They score a point for this indeed. But the site you linked us to above, looks just like something Tallahassee has.
