After seeing the (nearly) finished product that is the Pinnacle building, I hope Amazon 3 (if it's ever built) will be a very different design.

Too late. The tower has already been designed and they ain't changing it. You're stuck with it.

The developers need to start office and mixed use projects, these buildings are all part of the promise to deliver 5000 amazon workers and the ancillary workers of support businesses . This waiting for the economy to improve is a bunch of hogwash, it’s never going back to pre Covid times, just suck it up and move on ! I don’t give a rats ass who the hell the president is or what’s going on in Washington, it’s just a cycle of economics. I have lived long enough and seen this many times over, stop the nonsense.

Dude they can't go spec in this economy with today's interest rates and inflation. Plus the lenders are keeping tight pockets. And with this economy you're not going to see very many relocations and new regional offices.

The Pinnacle @ Symphony Place (29 stories/417', 520,000 sq. ft. office space, ground level retail, internal garage) has over 460,000 sq. ft. of space empty in the next several months.

Owner Highwoods Properties Inc. has enlisted one of Nashville’s largest brokerages to give the Pinnacle at Symphony Place a helping hand.

The Nashville office of CBRE is partnering with the Raleigh-based firm's internal leasing team to bolster leasing efforts at the downtown tower.

Alex Chambers, Nashville market leader of Highwoods, is "energized about the future of the building."

"Highwoods is excited about partnering with CBRE … to maximize Highwood’s first opportunity since the building opened to enhance the building’s environment and experience to today’s workplace demands," Chambers told the Business Journal.

The company previously revealed plans for a “complete rebrand” for the building.

"This will include the lobby as well as updating the seventh floor and its 29,600-square-foot green roof to become one of the most amenitized buildings in Nashville," a Highwoods spokesperson previously told the Business Journal. The company's plan hasn't been finalized.

Surprised no false claims about Broadway, Second Ave, and Printers Alley have burrowed up regarding this.

The irony with regards to this image is, that in this thread there is incessant nattering and caterwauling from some posters about glauss bauxeses. Yet going by this image most of the buildings aren't glauss. And the buildings that are glauss aren't bauxeses. The non glass buildings are the ones that are the so called bauxeses, and the glass buildings are the ones that have either distinctive features and/or shapes that set them apart from each other. Hmm...

Whilst good news that a building won’t be sitting empty for all that long, it sure would be good to see other genres of music represented in “Music City” like blues, hip hop, rock, pop etc. again as mentioned elsewhere on the Forum , where’s the diversity? You go into any of these places and it’s the same as the one you just left, different name , same vibe and music.

You mean like the diversity of 2nd Ave. in 2010-11? Shootings every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; is that the diversity wanted?

We have people coming here who routinely pay $800 northward a night for leisure hotel stays. The people who whine about diversity can take that diversity and shove it.

For sure it’s a combination of many factors, including the fact that this party district lies smack dab in the core of the city. Just imagine for a moment hypothetically if all these bars and Honky Tonks were part of a true entertainment district  on the property that is Opry Mills Mall, it would eliminate a lot of the issues because it would be its own private space not interfering with the day to day activities of the intercity. What it boils down to is that they are trying to merge a tourist amusement attraction into a major city core, and that doesn’t necessarily work out all that well. Even in Orlando the tourist attractions are 20-30 miles away, and Las Vegas that’s a lost cause it’s all one big tourist trap.

I agree. I absolutely do. Nashville should remove it's downtown entertainment options. Especially when other cities have entertainment districts downtown or are trying to create entertainment districts. This makes all kinds of sense.

Austin and Charlotte consecutively in the top ten. Why are developers choosing Nashville to place their multiple tower with multiple retail developments? It's puzzling.

Just read that Oracle is exiting Austin and setting up their global world headquarters in Nashville. It looks like Nashville has become the powerhouse of the three.

Same reasons I believe a Waffle House would be a sound business decision in that area, but I still believe that LB has gone to far off the edge and needs to clean up its act a bit.

I agree. I really do. You know what we should do. We should walk up and tell Allen Jackson, Kid Rock, John Rich, Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Justin Timberlake, Jason Aldean, Bon Jovi and Blake Shelton: that we don't want no mo bars on Broadway no mo. That's exactly what we should do. I'm the quiet type so I'll let you do the talking.

I wish Amazon Tower 3 was 'under construction,' as depicted in this updated diagram.

Maybe it will actually be built sooner than later? But I can't see it being built as "office-only," unless the market picks up dramatically soon.

I hope that patch doesn't just become a park or a vacant concrete lot, to sit and sit for decades. 😕

Hoping it will be built by 2030, at least!

That is not Amazon's tower. If a significant company will sign a lease commitment it will get built. Amazon has the rights to be offered the first leasing opportunity. This has been said a million times already but for some reason it's hard for some people to grasp. Some people have this need for it to be Amazon's building.

Man I love forums. Social media just doesn't deliver the years-long popcorn-ready back-and-forth that forums do. 🍿

Also is 1010 Church the final name? It's a fun callback to 505 but feels a little uninspired for a new tallest.

    I tend to agree.

It should have looked like the Demonbreun Hill building. Not one complaint on the forum about that building. And I can see why. The Demonbreun Hill building looks Va Va Va Voom!!!
