  1. I hadn’t checked in on this project for a while however I stumbled across this video posted by Forecc only a couple days ago for Storyville Gardens Resort. Features some nice stuff on the surrounding aspects of the project. I know Forrec was mentioned working on this project awhile back don’t know if they still are however. Also just listened to a podcast where the developer mentions working with Falcon Group but overall I don’t know how the project is trekking. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/HymzdMeD81Q8KrSy/?mibextid=WC7FNe
  2. Storyville just changed their Instagram page including updating their logo. I am starting to really think they may have something to tell us very soon! edit: I am adding the link in any you want to take a look https://instagram.com/storyvillegardens?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  3. I just found an interview with founder of Storyville that states they apparently have 700 acres, with the park said to be a 10th of that land. https://www.wordonthestreets.net/Articles/665814/Storyville_Gardens.aspx
  4. New Theme park announcement as part of $2b resort in Oklahoma along route 66, called heartland of America. Concept art on their website looks to be quite detailed/impressive, and it has many ex-Disney imagineers on board. Wonder how Storyville will be impacted??? https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20230719039822/en/American-Heartland-Announces-2-Billion-Theme-Park-and-Resort-Development-in-Northeast-Oklahoma Website: https://www.americanheartlandthemepark.com
  5. Yeah being too transparent before things are locked in can lead to a development failing. Currently Storyville gardens are stating no delays for the project, and that a 2025 opening date is still the goal, as of Facebook comments 2 or so days ago. Not sure if 2025 will happen depending if the project has evolved to become bigger than expected, but good to see them at least answering some questions. https://www.facebook.com/storyvillegardens
  6. Ik it’s been a long time since someone last posted on here but Delisa Guerrier, founder of storyville gardens, just posted on Instagram with the caption “the types of meeting that change regions”. StoryLand Studios, the people they hired to design the park, are tagged in the post but what is interesting is that two other companies called “PizaGolf” & “Forrecdesigns” are also tagged. One looks to be a golf design firm and the other a themed entertainment design companie similar to StoryLand. Maybe they’ve got more people on board and there rlly has been progress. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs5BhQzooxv/?igshid=MmJiY2I4NDBkZg==
  7. Could you put a link to that article, or at least where you can find it? I couldn’t find anything myself and curious to have a read if possible
  8. I definitely do too, but I think part of that has to do with the Universal brand name, which is synonymous w high quality & reliability. We already know what they can do, and with it being in such a big metro area (Dallas/Fort Worth) compared to the size of the actual park, I can already imagine this new project being build in the next half decade and potentially being the best park for families in the US pretty soon. As for Storyville, it’s developers are “optimistic” at best, and a park based around books isn’t going to appeal to kids as much as stepping into your favourite universal/ dream works properties. It’s quality might be there but we don’t know that yet, and it’s doesn’t seem to be getting enough momentum for us to find out.
  9. Hadn’t checked Storyville’s YouTube in awhile, but looks like they made a 3 & a half min video about a month ago, talking about the park’s connection to reading and it does feature some concept art, mostly previous stuff though. It’s good to see them trying progress the park further, Nashville could rlly use a park and personally I think something immersive like this would suite the city’s charm better than the corporate mess of something like SixFlags. Who knows we might even have this built in half a decade or so if we’re lucky!
  10. After a several month hiatus, Storyville is again posting on their socials. Not really sure if it’s just to keep interest or if it actually means something, but thought I’d put it out there. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CmNIwjjtlUl/?igshid=YWJhMjlhZTc= EDIT: just checked construction journal has been updated on 11/30/22. It now states that a general contractor has been selected!!! https://www.constructionjournal.com/projects/details/5b47fe5fba61482ab9df419f4f898995.html
  11. I know this thread has been a bit dead for awhile, but I just realised that IAPPA 2023 is on in Orlando in the coming weeks, and I was wondering if Storyville or even StoryLand Studios (the park designers) have any announcements planned up the sleeves for the convention regarding Storyville Gardens. Not like I expect them to, because of how slow the project is moving, if it's not already canceled, but just wanted to put the idea out there, incase anyone knows if anything's planned.
  12. Hate to be the bringer of bad news, but it has been reported that Pat Emery, the notable developer that was involved in Storyville Gardens, has passed away. Not sure what this means for Storyville Gardens, but I unfortunately think this might more delays for the project. I’m starting not to get my hopes up. https://rutherfordsource.com/real-estate-developer-pat-emery-has-died/
  13. I haven’t replied on here in a while, but I was casually doing a little research, and saw that construction commencement has been updated to June 2023 on construction journal. It also states that they’re up to doing Schematic drawing for the project as well, but I’m not sure exactly how significant that is, cause I don’t know anything bout construction. This was all updated less than a week ago as well.
  14. Yeah I was really hopeful about this happening, especially at the start of the year when we were hearing all sorts of stuff about proposed locations ect., but now I’m starting to doubt it’s progress, all things considered. I think the developers have a really good idea, but without proper execution, good marketing skills & the fact that the founder believes “anything is possible on your own if you keep trying” I think I’ll give it till the end of the year to hear any big new, if not I’ll just consider it another proposal people will reminisce about in a decade of so like they always do.
  15. A verified source of mine has said that the park is now looking for “community investors” to buy $50,000 units. That confirms your theory smeags that they underestimated the initial cost and need more money because of inflation.
