  1. Amateur, and probably unauthorized progress photos. First shot is of the center of the terminal, closer to the south terminal entrance. Second shot is of the C food court, from the stage area pointed towards the restaurants, practically down to the studs. Placed is packed to the gills tonight, weather and operational delays in Texas and the Midwest have a lot of delays on the board. Good luck to those all coming and going tonight.
  2. Breeze Airways (heavily) rumored to begin service at BNA: https://simpleflying.com/breeze-initial-routes-fare-options/ I haven't been to the A gates in forever, but can the IAF gates be used for departures? I have no idea where there's room for them unless they hardstand.
  3. I have a certain amount of tolerance for construction, but the manner in which it's being done is baffling. To close 4 restaurants in the busier half of the airport with no replacements and to open a coffee shop that closes before sunset is not doing anything for the passenger experience. The passengers which coincidentally fund the airport through arrival and departure fees. Meanwhile MNAA seems more concerned with letting everyone know how cranes work and that they have their own apparel brand. Fraport can be behind schedule and that's fine, but someone at the airport had to sign off on closing 4 food outlets last month. That was a bad decision.
  4. Tailgate brewery coming soon to the ghost of the BK lounge. If only that meant there was a McKay's around the corner. Also pictured, the Tootsie's line at about 7:20PM tonight. Just shameful.
  5. Those would look great in the open space between D3 and D4.
  6. Some photos from C/D tonight. 8th and roast was closed by 7:15 so there were 5 eateries open. Joining the new 8th and roast on the dogleg where fly babies/radio road/o'charleys was is "Nashville Threads", "West End News" (which means the hudson across the hall next to Starbucks may also be not long for this world), and James Avery jewelers. Also a candid shot of a wrap at Barista Parlor, I don't know what street has cold sandwiches for $12.50, but this isn't anything close to "street pricing". Major steel work on Wednesday and it looks like quite the task getting here on Wednesday night, I hope everyone is staying put this week: https://twitter.com/Fly_Nashville/status/1389333919829479425?s=19
  7. Nothing would make me happier than if Doug and his pals had to stand in front of an unfinished retail shell selling delivery pizza slices like it's a middle school basketball game.
  8. Airport was a mess last night. Waited nearly 30 minutes to get to our gate and it looked like the D gates were closed. The departures lanes being closed backed up traffic almost to I-40. In the spirit of offering constructive criticism, DCA and IAD offer free garage parking for an hour while the departures and arrivals roadways are being worked on. I wish MNAA had the foresight to anticipate problems instead of rushing to find solutions after these issues have metastisized. In good news, there's an 8th and Roast coming to the former Fly Babies space right where the dog leg starts at C9. That Starbucks might not be long for this world since they're about 100 feet apart.
  9. I saw your? points on another forum, but with Fraport's scale they could have shoved a proprietary concept or two in the empty spaces. Firkin and Fox or "Music City Grill". $13 club sandwiches with Sysco potato chips that came out of a 50lb sack. Run it until they have a real concept and turn over instantly with kitchen equipment already in place. New apartment towers lease 20% of the units in to extended stay concepts during initial lease up and stabilization so they have guaranteed income. And if there's deadlines to get Party Fowl and a new BK built out on D, it makes zero sense to spread construction jobs out to the C food court to tear it down. But I'm in IT, not the airport business. Flying in for the weekend tomorrow and depending on my gate and my ride I'll try and peek through the cracks in the sheetrock, but I expect to be monumentally disappointed. I'm honestly surprised BNA hasn't turned an empty stall on D in to a warm shell to build an in-person merch store so they can keep making it all about themselves.
  10. Huge lulz about the food points. MNAA can be as mad as they want about Fraport but who decided to shut down the C food court for renovations? Fraport or them? It's almost as if they hired the people who were responsible for the new Dillard's wing at Green Hills to handle this part of BNA Vision. I think tearing the sheetrock down around some of the coming soon places so people knew something was almost ready would help. Let people see kitchen equipment being installed, or at least post some progress report photos online.
  11. "The new facility will be built adjacent to the existing Concourse C and will serve narrow-body and regional aircraft." I have to wonder if American is getting pushed out here, but United+a ULCC or two makes the most sense as United will lose their physical gates.
  12. Party Fowl officially announced to Concourse D and Chick-Fil-A to the A/B food court. Sounds like Party Fowl will be open first. Also the garage parking rates went up, it's up to $16 for 30 minutes up to 24 hours. Valet up to $20/day.
  13. Couldn't get a good angle of the new build, the first gate with open windows was C6 and at that point it's too far to get a meaningful shot. I could hear a couple people working on disassembling the food court, there's some breaks in the sheetrock where you can peek in and just be disappointed. There's a way to peek in the old O'Charleys and I was enraged at how little had been done to demo the space since it's been closed for months. There was a special guest on the tarmac and the canopy construction was full steam ahead.
  14. Headed in to town and will have some time to kill before my ride arrives. Hopefully in my post flight wanderings I find good news on the concession front, and a nice angle to get pictures of the T gates as they're being referred to.
  15. They do have charging with standard 3 prong outlets and USB ports between every other seat. They are hard to distinguish in the pictures as they are under the armrest and vertically positioned between seats. If you zoom in on the first seat in the foreground you can see the appliance.
  16. Frontier is launching service to Dallas (DFW). Looking at their bookings, daily service begins 6/9. Currently, they have Monday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday service via Denver. There's 4 daily flights on Southwest and 6 or 7 a day on American.
  17. Barista Parlor, 8th and Roast, 400 Degrees and Tootsie's are all local. Pyramids Cafe, Bajo Sexto and Urban Juicer had signs on the island of neglected commerce across from C13 and 14 but they have been painted over for some time now.
  18. Yeah, they have done equal openings to closings since Christmas or so. The day after Tootsies reopened, O'Charleys was boarded up. There's people ready to work and mouths to be fed, and they just can't stop closing stuff at a rate detrimental to the average passenger. Maybe they'll surprise me and all the false walls in D will come down this week with replacements, but I'm not holding my breath.
  19. First time long time. Just wanted to share that the food court on C is boarded up and no existing sheetrock came down. This makes the food options on C/D: Gibson Cafe Barista Parlor 400 degrees Starbucks Tootsies 8th and Roast Cold sandwiches scattered about I know Doug loves getting on camera and their twitter loves beating their chest about how great BNA Vision is, but it's criminally bad how meager the food offerings are. 2 of the 6 outlets were closed by 8pm last night. I used to complain about the food at the A gates at DCA, but that's 6 restaurants for 9 gates. Looking forward to seeing what's next, but it's irritating beyond belief right now.
