This is why the megasite concept is such crap. So much $$ being wasted making the sites viable on top of the crapton of congestion its going to add to our highways. Plenty of sites in the city core (North/South) that could handle this and keep congestion much more manageable. But alas...

That makes sense. However I'm not as excited about this now. I mean it's better then vacant land but the combining of buildings seems to make it blend less in with the neighborhood. I liked how they were originally trying to blend the garages in with part of the apartments, which the new design eliminates. Makes it seem a lot more suburban now.

Any news on this? They still have yet to go in front of the DRB but said in their original pilot application they wanted to start construction in Q2 2021...

Crosstown apartments rent for that and are nearly full so demand is there. There is a lot of money and well paying jobs in Memphis - but for the longest time it was concentrated out east.
