  1. This is so ridiculous, the Riverbluff they want to protect was destroyed longtime ago.

If they were really about protecting the Bluffs, most of which are still accessible, they would've had that ugly parking garage and fire station moved.

I could understand the outcry if it was a private hotel/ condo/ office building being developed.

But its a public art gallery.

I get the felling they want a "under the table" deal.

I have a family member that works at FH, and he informed me, the jobs that will be lost to redundancy will be in NJ., because they're going to beef up the Memphis presence with people from NJ.  There are  still several locally owned banks in Memphis, they're just not as large as FH.

That's good news for now, thought it would've been the other way around, so they'll be looking for more office space soon.

  3. Permit Filed

Three permits were filed April 8 at the sites where a Kevin Adams-led development team has announced plans for a 240-unit senior living project and The Walk's first phase.

The permit for The Walk's first phase was filed one day after its design was approved. It lists 414 apartments and 20,000 square feet of retail space at the eastern end of project site, near Danny Thomas Boulevard, but a value has not been specified yet.

Building G will house up to seven floors filled with 400 apartments, 27,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and a five-story parking garage.

One part of the application asks the applicant to give the project’s status. The response from the development team that first unveiled the project plans in fall 2018: “The project is currently in construction documentation.”
