No way any historic buildings are touched for a 200 room hotel.
Considering there's other alternatives like the land near Hard Rock Cafe or the huge parking lot on MLK
or even locating it further down Beale near Church Park and SugaShack.

Thought Cordova near Gtown Pkwy was ideal, to compliment Wolfchase, Main Event etc. or maybe Uptown but at least we're getting one.

I have a family member that works at FH, and he informed me, the jobs that will be lost to redundancy will be in NJ., because they're going to beef up the Memphis presence with people from NJ. There are still several locally owned banks in Memphis, they're just not as large as FH.
That's good news for now, thought it would've been the other way around, so they'll be looking for more office space soon.

I have a hard time seeing this happen, from Downtown to Stanton, the cost could run from $750 million to $5 billion and we know how the State votes.
This will likely end with MATA sending buses out there and TDOT adding lanes to I-40.

Come on Memphis, this design needs a lot of work.
Yeah, the exterior favors a concrete slab but, no worry, knowing Memphis this may never be constructed.

Permit Filed
Three permits were filed April 8 at the sites where a Kevin Adams-led development team has announced plans for a 240-unit senior living project and The Walk's first phase.
The permit for The Walk's first phase was filed one day after its design was approved. It lists 414 apartments and 20,000 square feet of retail space at the eastern end of project site, near Danny Thomas Boulevard, but a value has not been specified yet.

This is so ridiculous, the Riverbluff they want to protect was destroyed longtime ago.
If they were really about protecting the Bluffs, most of which are still accessible, they would've had that ugly parking garage and fire station moved.
I could understand the outcry if it was a private hotel/ condo/ office building being developed.
But its a public art gallery.
I get the felling they want a "under the table" deal.
