From Chapter 19-6.7:
(D)
Points of access. Development shall provide cross-access between compatible, adjacent land uses unless determined by the decision-making body to be infeasible due to topography; environmental constraints; or property configuration/shape. Development may be required to share driveway access with adjoining properties, consistent with the provisions of the design and specifications manual. Restrictions to access, including, but not limited to gates; gatehouses, guard houses, etc., are prohibited unless such access is determined by the decision-making body to be necessary for public safety.

Still has to go before the planning commission though right? City ordinance prohibits gated communities.
I'm interested in the specific text of the ordinance prohibiting gated communities. Can you point me in the right direction. I'm searching https://library.municode.com/sc/greenville/codes/code_of_ordinances to no avail.

Planning Commission signs up along Rocky Slope Road where the wooded area is between the Tapestry apartments and Woodruff Rod.
Can't find the information on the planning commission's site. GreenvilleSC.gov. I have not called, but if anyone has, can you please provide a link to the documentation?

Wow, the Salters Rd subdivision sucks. I assume that prevents ever realigning Salters Rd to intersect Woodruff at the light with Mall Connector. Will be interesting to see how that gets approved as a portion of that plat is within the city of Greenville while a portion is not (part of Greenville county)
Will be interesting to see if https://greenvilleadventurecenter.com/ comes to fruition. This plat is right next to the 58 lot subdivision off of Woodruff.

That's unfortunate to hear. First time hearing about any illness. My sentiment remains though. Change in leadership should be a good thing regardless of how or why that change was made.

Looks like this is about to start construction going off all of the new survey stakes on site: http://images3.loopnet.com/d2/st7ZeSPMOjoTOylLySCp68wbvfZLO7363dkhrnM8-EU/document.pdf
So I emailed and was told construction should start on phase 3 in the next 2 months.
What is the status of phase 2? Both phase 2 & 3 have diagrams on DP3's site. How are they related to Colliers International?

After the YMCA pulled out of the agreement to develop that property Verdae was definitely lost on what to do next. At least there will be a pool component for Hollingsworth Park that comes out of this project since the pool and clubhouse will be separate from the subdivision.
