Makes me wonder as well if there is a timeline. Kalamazoo is close to getting started on their new $300M downtown arena. Plenty of shows have played Wings Stadium in the past, wondering with a shiny new arena would some of the smaller events look south.

OK so the mega millions jackpot tonight is something like $1.4 billion. Let’s say after taxes you get about $730 million.
What project or projects would you donate your money to? I would want to give money to the hospitals, GRPS, The Rapid… also, the little kid in me still wants to build a big sky scraper downtown.
What are some things you guys would do locally if you were to acquire that amount of money!

The concourse A expansion is looking fantastic!!! I keep hearing they are planning on a partial renovation of concourse B as well. Hoping to hear lots of new flight options in the coming months.

Has anyone seen any renderings of the new Air Traffic Control tower? It keeps being mentioned, but I have not seen any renderings released.

While all of the upgrades are great, I would really like to see an upper and lower level for departures and arrivals. The roadway can get very congested at times.

The airport just launched a new website detailing Project Elevate. https://flyford.org/elevate/. Check out the plans for the expanded parking ramp and new rental car area. Wow! Really great progress for this airport.

Interesting. Sure wish something would go in across the street. Why is it that so many pieces of land that the city owns, they've had relatively no luck in getting developed (even though they try).
Across the street? Is that the old Tall House site from maybe 15 years ago?

Yeah, I don’t understand Bluescrubs comment.
It’s not a normal time and I hope the city/citizens are throwing their resources at helping these people out.

Implying that these folks will have some where to go and not be out in the cold.

Well hopefully this will clean up the huge tent city that has formed over the last few months.

The Samaritas Project is really starting to look sharp!! Does anybody happen to know who is behind the renovations on Burton and Eastern? Signs up for a BBQ restaurant, Community Center, Barber shop and a mini mart. Hopefully will give some new energy to that intersection.

Does anyone know if the passenger terminal expansion project is still supposed to start on time? I thought it was suppose to start in April.

Likewise, I found stats for 2018. Perhaps, based on our growth we could guestimate GR Ford could be anywhere from #51-#55 after another record year.

I've read that flights internationally, especially to Asia are continuing to be evaluated and reduced. I could see this spreading to international travel travel to Europe as well. Like walker mentioned, I am curious to see what affect this may have on GRR as its not really utilized for international travel. I could be wrong, but from my experience, folks generally go to Chicago/Detroit and head out internationally. My guess is GRR may be insulated a bit and we see growth slow down?
I think that is enplaned, not total passengers. I would think that GRR is somewhere in the upper 60's in rearguards to total passenger traffic. The Chart below is from 2017 when GRR was a little over 2.8 Million but that does not reflect growth at other US airports.

Would love an NHL team in GR... but man, it would be hard not still be a die hard Red Wings fan. I just wish Arena Football would have come back.
