Just an observation and maybe it’s just me, but man this one seems like it’s taking forever.

Same number of home fans as now.
Give them some credit. All 13 of them are die hard fans.

Well Rolli, we can have both. Who honestly thought hockey would work here? MLB would thrive in Nashville. It’s gonna upset Atlanta because they’ll lose alot of fans around here, but that’s ok.

It seems like someone or something has brainwashed the people/ natives of Nashville into believing that Atlanta is somehow a mythical fairyland and that there’s no way that Nashville could ever become a peer to it. STOP BELIEVING IN THIS THEORY, I’m tired of always hearing about Atlanta being a different place than here , all cities are different in some ways or another. Start thinking outside the box , outside the suppressed narrative of Nashville not being this or that and not good enough for certain things. At one point not that long ago, cities like Atlanta and Austin were not that impressive, but they started thinking and believing outside of that box and found ways to become bigger and better. Nashville has the same chances and pathways to that success, if everyone can change their mindset and start thinking like a major league player. And yes it is very conceivable that some projects such as MLB ballparks, Theme Parks, NASCAR Tracks and the Big office deals could decide to develop outside of Metro limits. How do you think that Atlanta and Houston etc got to be so successful
Spot on.

Agreed it’s definitely possible. Sterick, Crosstown, NBA we’re all impossible. We see what happened. It take a deep pocket owner(Robert Pera) and a willing City leadership. As far as corporate support goes We have that no doubt. Now could be that time Guardian the rays lease expires 2027. I say we pull the rug up under Nashville feet like they did us with the NFL. Memphis Rays !!!
Nashville didn’t pull anything out from under the feet of Memphis. It was the right move and Nashville is a much better market and location.

I hope the White Sox relocation happens and they keep the name. That’s a very historical team and no offense to the Stars name because I love what they were trying to represent, but that’s a horrible basic name for a franchise.

The first two years of the SEC Championship game were played in Birmingham of all places and the SEC office is still there. So I’ll definitely ask, why not Nashville?

Eh, we do have a 750ft being built currently. Couldn’t be any worse than what Devon tower in OKC looks like.

Wish they would go this route as far as an MLB Stadium if/when it happens. I love how Baltimore showcases old school buildings in their right field. There are a couple of more stadiums that have this done this as well, but not sure if they’re MLB. Incorporating older architecture is a win win imo if they wanna shoot for inside the loop close to downtown.

I saw this popped up under recent topics when I logged on and automatically thought of George Costanza.

I think casinos may be legalized in TN sooner rather than later. Kentucky now has gambling halls offering slots and poker rooms right across the border. Mississippi obviously has Tunica and Biloxi. Bristol VA now has a Hard Rock .25 miles from the TN border. Cherokee is right across the NC border. Metropolis/Paducah has a casino 2.5 hours away. Southern Indiana Caesars is 2.5 hours away. Evansville is about the same. Money from TN is flowing out into these other states. Very similar to how it was before the lottery was legalized.
If I’m not mistaken, casinos aren’t legal on land in Mississippi (unless ive been out of the loop for a while). All of the casinos in Tunica and Biloxi are built on barges on bodies of water. And also, hasn’t Memphis had casino boats for a while?

See, if Brentwood and Murfreesboro would just go ahead a build upwards, the Nashville area would have a high rises in that 10-30 mile radius of the CBD... I mean is it really asking too much for those areas to build a 150 to 327 foot tall building? Is it?
I live in the Washington, DC region, and trust me most of the buildings in that 165 count are not in DC but in Northern VA. I suspect a great majority are in Tysons Corner, Arlington and Alexandria. Maryland probably has a few in Bethesda, Silver Springs and Oxen Hill.
City Center in downtown Murfreesboro is 180 ft., but I get what you’re saying. I’m surprised they haven’t built more mid rises there around the downtown area.

It will be a good feeling for some of us , to see Nashville get its new tallest. But I still wonder, if Mr Tony G will still seek the “ONE” ! You all know what I’m talking about, the masterpiece of Nashville’s skyline. He WAS approved in 2008 to build Siggy at 1030 feet , so it’s possible that he comes back with another prospect that will fill that passion. Maybe this 750 foot project will ease some of the height fears that exist here , and open the doors to more tall boys on our horizon. Only time will tell, but I’m not counting it out.
If OKC can eclipse 900’, there’s no reason Nashville can’t hit the 1000’ mark. I’m pushing 40, I hope to see us do just that before I die.

Huntsville Projects

Huntsville’s biggest downfall is not being right on I65. Having to drive 15-20 minutes after exiting onto 565 to get to the downtown area is a huge blow.
