  1. I was wondering the same thing. From Chenal, it's not very visible because of everything that blocks it in that area (gas station, Genghis Grill) and that part of Markham I just don't see anyone who isn't local using that road unless they specifically sought out that restaurant to eat there...I may be wrong though. I would think a restaurant would prefer to be right off an interstate to attract travelers and be easily accessible. I thought their current location was fine!
  2. With all the Toys R Us stores shutting down due to their bankruptcy, I wonder what could potentially go into that space on Chenal?
  3. Thanks! I initially tried to use the UALR thread, but it said it was closed so I tried to use the thread most suitable!
  4. I'm a Graduate Student currently and all students received an email this week addressing the eStem school on campus and how it would impact current students. As part of the email, they discussed lunch and it was mentioned!
  5. With eStem on the UA Little Rock campus now eating in the Cafe that the students primarily eat in, UA Little Rock has brought in a Steak & Shake truck for their campus as a lunch option to help with alleviating high traffic during lunch in the Cafe. I think this is pretty neat and is a restaurant that isn't in the market, although I'm sure their menu won't be as large as a regular restaurant since it is just a food truck.
  6. I think this list could be fairly accurate. It's been speculated Chili's wanted a new location for a couple months. Interestingly, a group of UA Little Rock students (including myself) tweeted the Raising Cane's chain begging for a Little Rock location about 2 months ago and they replied with something along the lines of "stay tuned ;)" so this could be what they were hinting at.
  7. I can't remember all the restaurants but I know there was Raising Canes, Chilis, Starbucks, a Texas based Mexican chain, and I can't recall the other one. I'd be excited for the Raising Canes!
  8. I think that most people my age (college students) much prefer H&M to Hollister & Abercrombie & Fitch. In fact, you don't see many college students wearing those brands anymore.
  9. Was in the mall today, was told the 3D Games store, massage store Easy Relax, and the small Bloom Cafe have been told they have to relocate and H&M will be taking up their space. This is not really a good location at all in my opinion. I hope they somehow make this a 2 floor concept like most of their stores.
  10. Yep, there is a small sign up now on the fence. If you drive on 12th and pass the lot you will see the sign. Interesting location.
  11. There's one on 12th between Fair Park and University, and one across the street from UALR on Fair Park. There are a lot down Asher and Colonel Glenn as well. They are really everywhere around UALR and a lot of students enjoy their food.
  12. Rumors are that all Limited stores are closing after the CEO has jumped ship and apparently the stores are having like huge 70% off sales according to a quick Google search I just did.
  13. I could see an Urban Outfitters downtown. I think about it's Memphis location and just see it being a downtown Little Rock store maybe along Main Street?
  14. Arkansas Democrat Gazette reported today that a Dairy Queen Chill Grill will be opening on the same lot of land as the new CVS on University. This is interesting to me because it doesn't seem as if there is much land left there with the CVS and the hotel both being built currently. I was already wondering about the parking for the hotel and now this is being reported so I am anxious to see how that block looks once fully completed.
  15. Best Wal-Mart in Little Rock in my opinion. I wish the restaurant was actually going in one of the empty storefronts in the actual Shackleford Crossings shopping center. Nothing will ever fill those out unfortunately.
  16. Yes, Arby's is on the corner where you turn into Wal Mart. The car wash is right beside it. I assume you don't go to this Wal Mart.
  17. I don't understand this building at all. Terrible.
  18. Was told while at Gearhead Outfitters today in the Outlets that they are closing on Sunday. They are currently having a sale to get rid of what's left. I asked the employee if they were the first store to go out of business there, and was told the store next door had went out of business a couple weeks ago. They didn't know the name of that store but told me they sold Razorback stuff.
  19. They should be happy someone wants to build there in the first place, in my opinion.
  20. Yeah originally that was planned but they've recently announced Starbucks for a location in the outlets directly across from the food court so I would that the planned one beside Cavendars is nixed.
  21. Anyone know what they are building on University between the AT&T store and McDonalds?
  22. So far so good with attrracting new to the market places like Dave & Busters and Movie Tavern. I just wish they could pull some new to the market restaurants. I'm also curious to see what hotels locate at Gateway.
  23. I agree about the BMW dealership. Very basic design.
  24. I think on West Markham between Metro Wine and Spirits and Chik Fil A.
