Any rumors of casino with that hotel? I've been wondering when that concept will raise it's head again...
Was just about to ask that same question, that would certainly help fill that lot out.

The Slows in Detroit is pretty good, but if I have a BBQ craving I'll happily wait for Thurs-Fri to grab me some Pit Stop. Hands down the best BBQ in town.

A fast-casual Mediterranean chain called Pita Way is coming to the Knapps Corner area with another location in Wyoming. Although it is a chain, I'm always happy to see another healthy casual option.
Looks like they have quite a few locations across the state already. Anyone tried this place and know if it's any good?

I've been to the one in New Hudson, it was great. Happy to see a few coming over here.

Are stadiums doing multiple naming rights now?

Just a wild guess here, but I'd say somewhere around 1040 40th Street...

I was driving by the dam in Ada a week ago, and most of the older houses that used to make up Fase Street have been demo’s. Quite a weird sight. Anyone know what they are developing over there (I assume housing, but?)?
Joe
You mean the area across from the baseball field?
I believe all they did was clear out the land on the north side of Fase, and from what I recall they took out one home on the sound side of Fase. Likely another multi-family housing development.
Just found this: http://adamichigan.org/uploads/home/Development-Update-March-2022.pdf

I hope they are past the slow, tedious part and we start seeing this go vertical. They have to be pretty far behind as an article last year said they hoped to be 8 stories up by EOY 22.
Joe
Maybe they were including the parking garage levels in that count...

Would have liked to see them expand the building to the corner and maybe add ground floor retail to part of it.
Or make it taller
They already kind of did that with the renovation along Lyon, right?

From the article:
The other is a 1,100-square-foot, two-story retail building located mid-block on Wealthy Street SE. That structure could not be built until a lease for a billboard that’s currently located on the property expires in three years, Schmidt said
So a lease on a billboard is going to hold up construction on one building for 3 years? Seems like they could come to some compromise to buy out the lease or move the billboard to not hold up construction..

That's gonna take a while to build, no?
If I remember correctly it's precast... or pretensioned...
But this was months ago so I'm probably misremembering what they said.

The whole structure will be concrete?
That's what I've been told from the EOR who originally designed the thing.
I'm sure there will be rebar in the concrete, so no, the whole structure will not be just concrete

I thought I'd be clever and drive to the top of the Studio Park ramp. I didn't make it, and ended up with a lousy photo. Also had to go into the theater to pay for parking, so it ended up being quite a hassle for this:
As @Cookin_peacocks said, it's above the Acrisure building. I don't see any steel on site. Does that mean they are going with concrete? Seems like they are at the point of floors going up soon (although I think the first couple of floors are the trickiest with the foundation and pool going in first).
Yea, this one went the concrete route.

Is Amway demoing part of their complex out in Ada? I drove by there and was wondering. If they do ever abandon it completely that would be a a huge vacant parcel. What's the mix of Corporate vs. Logistics ops there? It would be great for parks/mixed used, especially with the expansion of the parks and trails on the other side of the river. I'm kind of surprised amway is still a thing, how much longer can they last?
Renovating.

Beams being flown yesterday, and with all the steel laying on site I imagine a lot of progress has been made since then.
