  1. Yeah that looks like another building adjacent to the old Jillians/Vintage Church space.

I think that also that the office part is the 20 story building and the 9/10 story one with Dillion facade is residential based on reading the brochure, though the pictures look the other way around with the 20 story one having balconies.

I'm confused on that too. It mentions a 5th floor pool. Unless, it's on top of the parking garage, then idk where that's going

  2. I think thats a "shadow from an adjacent building shown in the glass".  Typical rendering nonsense to make the building seem to have more variance and not as imposing.  Thats just my take.  My guess is that parking will be a garage across the street shown as "parking" on the site plan.

The sunset also doesn't match the sun reflection on the car hood. This is BS

  3. Are the things they're designing actually feasible? or do they just do this as a "what if" scenario? The condos/apartments they designed for the space next to Fox Liquor on Martin Street are awesome too.  Much better than the J Davis crap we've been getting.

Their submission for the NC AIA headquarters on their site looks very similar to what is there now

  4. The vertical glass is very similar to the Charter Square vertical element frame. It looks like Highwoods is embracing the plaza....are they a newish owner of the building? Because the owners at the time the Plaza was being planned, opposed the easements for the concessions and it seems like that was a different, more obstinate owner.

I think they bought it last Fall.

  5. I work in the Bank of America building on Fayetteville. They just started construction today for a face lift to the exterior and lobby. They're expanding out the ground floor where the columns currently are and adding some small details, like the vertical glass, to the exterior.

Edit: I think they're actually just removing the columns and not expanding it out
