CLT has had a Hockey team since 1956. The Clippers move to CLT from Baltimore after the BAL Arena burned down. This was the catalyst for Hockey in the South. CLT had an Arena for the Hurricanes, the now Bojangles Coliseum, but already had a NFL and NBA team, as well as a Triple A Baseball Team and the CLT Motor Speedway. Hockey was a distant 4th back then and still is. According to Sportsshow.net the most watched were : NFL MLB NBA NHL Soccer Tennis Golf WWE Motor Sports Badminton And I suspect that CLT and David Tepper will be the 30th MLS Soccer Team. They like Billionaires with Stadiums...not dudes that need help with money and have to wait 2 years for a stadium to be built...
