  1. It looks like a Bank of Gravett is being built way out here at the intersection of Highway 12 and Vaughn Road, or at least that's what the sign says.  Not much is being accomplished though as it appears to only be two people working on it and all that's been done so far is that a ton of bricks have been laid out.

I don't really see that being the start of much though because while it is on the way to the airport and there are a few apartments and housing areas out here, I don't see that as being enough traffic for anything else to come in in the way of gas stations or fast food.

  2. I can't wait to see what Bentonville looks like ten years from now!  Unfortunately, I'll likely have to move to Rogers or Springdale because with all the new things planned for Bentonville, apartment prices are gonna take a hike to where I can no longer afford them...

  3. HGTV's house hunters is in town this weekend filming an episode.  They filmed a segment at The Hive today and are filming at Crepe's Paulette tomorrow.

That's pretty exciting.  I'd rather it be a different show from that channel, but House Hunters is good too.  How'd you find that out?

  4. Well then, what's their reason for not selling gas?

Really, that's why they have fresh clementines in their ad this morning, No, Walgreens sticks their pharmacy and drugs in the opposite corner for you, the consumer, walk to so they can sell you sundry goods from the latest holiday candy, cheap flip flops in the summer, and toys for the screaming kid and then you can get a six pack to help the experience on the way out.

  5. I'm shocked I've not seen a Walgreens or CVS with Gas. That's the seems the intent of the Walmart Express concept.

For the most part, Walgreens focus is on drugs and doesn't really want to take away from that.  A few of their stores do have car charging stations for electric cars though.

  6. Bentonville downtown has become such an interesting location. I wonder what will ever happen with the old fairgrounds...

I was thinking the same thing!  I drove there today for the first time in roughly a month and never realized all the construction going on.  I will be interesting to see what all comes up.

  7. The only thing I know of that's going in around there is a new fire department substation just to the north of the new Neighborhood Market.  Will be interested to see what comes next.

Maybe that's it.  I was actually mistaken.  The construction I'm talking about is actually to the East of the market, right along the West side of 1st street.

  8. Construction signs have been up on the South side of the new neighborhood market on Regional Airport Blvd and they appear to be flattening out the land.  Anyone heard if anything is going there?  If so, I'd assume some sort of fast food.  McDonalds is currently the only one near there and gets tons of business, especially during rush hour.
