  1. I was wondering when Jack in the Box would enter the Georgia market. Its been here in South Carolina for a few years now. Also, the Drury Inn looks nice. About like the one they just finished in Greenville not too long ago.

I've never had Jack In The Box, im looking forward to getting the chance to dine there.

  2. T.G.I. Fridays & Starbucks Coming to DT Macon

The Ramada Plaza has begun a 12 million dollar renovation under its new ownership, and will now be a DoubleTree brand hotel. The section of the building on the corner of First St. and Walnut St., which currently houses the Sales Dept. will be gutted out and constructed to house both entities. The rejuvinated hotel and the addtion of two well known restaurant establisments will be a great addition and a catylist for more growth in this section of dowtown.

  6. Fort Valley State University Discussing Hotel/Golf Course Resort Possibility

Crumbly, the college vice president of Collaborative Programs is discussing possibility of developing Public/private Partnerships to build a 250 room hotel/ conference center and 18 holes PGA golf course restaurant and other amenities on the university Farm property. The facilities would be part of a new degree programs for golf course management, turf management and hotel management.

    That sounds really nice.

  7. Today I noticed small signs on Bass Road (around the I-75 interchange) saying, "Coming Soon - Quiznos - Across from Bass Pro Shop". I suppose it will be somewhere around the entrance of Bass Road, perhaps the same building where Starbucks is going.

Speaking of Bass Pro... I see they've started clearing the land along the entrance road for The Marketplace at Bass. It's a Fickling property, and more info is available on this PDF file for Lullwater and Marketplace..

I think that this PDF File is in the Maket Place @ Bass thread... i wonder what type of retail is going to be included in this development. I hope that there are more hotels and eateries in this than Rivercrossing. Im still pulling for my Copeland's and Pappadeaux.

  8. That's fantastic news for the folks in Twiggs County. There's probably no place in Middle Georgia that needs this more.

Couldn't have said it better! Im glad the Macon Area is getting another new DC it just adds to a long list that hopefully wil continue to grow. Im so happy for Twiggs.
