  2. Wegman's is coming to Uptown!

If this is a joke then i am not amused.  I have longed for a Wegman's since the day i moved to Charlotte.  I contacted their PR department a couple of years ago asking about a potential location, and their replay was something along the lines of, "Not any time soon." Use to have a Wegmans 5 mins from my house back in Jersey.  Best gourmet grocery store I've ever been too,  better than Whole Foods, IMO.

  3. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this or not, but i was bored and poking around on aca.accela.com/charlotte and saw that there's still a $72,300.00 storm water mitigation fee outstanding. Perhaps they're still trying to dispute this and is a reason for delay?

Btw -If anyone wishes to pay it by credit card you can. my card limit isnt that high. perhaps another day.

  4. According to this a re submission of MEPs is required for permitting.  But that was back in June.

i don't know what to make of this...Shouldn't take 2 months to throw together some addendum drawings and get them resubmitted.  If you click "See all StatMap Notes' you can read all the comments by the plan reviewer.

  5. I couldn't find a thread for this, but after watching Eat St. i have a craving for whatever is coming out a food truck. Are there any places in Charlotte that i can find one of these? If so, what are they serving and how is it? If anyone has ever been to Rutgers University and has been to the grease trucks, they know how awesome these trucks can be. Gotta find one.

  6. Perhaps that's not really a crown at all, but actually the tenant storage units :-)

LOL! They do look like overhead doors, Paint them orange and throw up a Public Storage Sign.

  7. I think this area of town will looking pretty good in a year... We'll also have the Buffalo Wild Wings there and the Park will be restarted (maybe even close to finished?) by then.

BTW - I looked at BW3s web site and didn't see anything on one opening here. I forgot who mentioned it, but is this confirmed by someone?

That's Right! Contractor bids go in October 13th! Good Luck to All Bidding it.

  8. Looks like the 3030 South project will also be an outpost for a while too. We all knew the Silos was on hold, but now Citiline is closing down means it may never happen.

WOAH!! Last year Citiline was soliciting bids for the Silos from our company, for concrete and masonry work, we were low bidder and were negotiating a contract till we heard this project was on hold indefinitely. MAN DID WE DODGE A BULLET. Glad this never materialized, we would have been left bank rolling this and holding the ball.
