  1. http://www.pourhouseboston.com/gallery.htm Man, the Boston Pourhouse looks like my worst nightmare! Horrible!
  2. As a lefty wingnut and Apple fanatic - I will confirm that this is absolutely true.
  3. Now I'm even more confused. Why be all up in arms about how Apple sells product if its not even a product you purchase?
  4. I still dont understand what the point is in getting upset about DRM when you can just buy CD's in the store. Of course I'm a huge Apple nut and TOTALLY drink the kool-aid so I cant really judge....
  5. Are you just pissed that the non DRM stuff costs more? I dont think $1.29 for DRM free music is all that unreasonable. Hopefully they will be adding more material as time goes on. I say if you dont want DRM just buy it in a store and rip it yourself - whats so hard about that. Apple supports a wide variety of ripping codecs built right into their apps, and its not like the iPod requires you use DRM encoded material. I dont like DRM either, and I have never bought a track from iTunes. No big deal. I suppose I might not like the iTunes/iPod tie in, but I have never seen an MP3 Management app as good as iTunes. It is the best hands down, and it has no problem handling enormous quanities of MP3's. I suppose if you dont like having your hands tied to iTunes you could always buy a Zen or something, but then you wouldnt get the ipod interface, which is really what you are buying with an iPod...
  6. Any more news on this or photos? My friends tattoo shop is in this building and they are in the process of moving to Wickenden. I'm not sure how much of their stuff is left on Steeple. Argh.
  7. Naw, the end of Rocky Point is where my cement shoes come in. We're keeping the movie light and fluffy for a reason!!! Speaking of which - our sales of Rocky Point swag to generate some cash flow for the movie have been really successful! People have been ordering shirts and stuff from the website like crazy. Now I need to start stocking more items. Mo Money Mo Money! Liam
  8. Crap! Its always when I'm on my way to my monthly get together of Furries!!!
  9. BLIND ITEM ALERT: On the way home from work the other night I was damn near killed by a certain elderly ex-politician, lets call him Bruce Mundlun. I was in the 2nd lane from the left keeping up with traffic (Ok, like 80mph) when a VW Phaeton started drifting over from the slow lane doing about 45mph. As I careened past I notice who the driver was, and the fact that he appeared to be reading something in his lap. Better yet, this is the SECOND time this has happened to me in as many months! I'm pretty sure he's out to get me!
  10. Ive been out sick for 2 days and was actually looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. Now Im dreading the commute. Argh. My car has been in the body shop for a couple weeks now repairing the damage from when the tree in front of the house let a branch go on its roof. Im not keen on driving my rental in the snow. Automatic transmissions and snow just do not mix. After driving this fusion for 2 weeks it makes me question the sanity of all those who drive automatic cars on a daily basis by choice. I'm fairly certain that automatics were designed by some sort of evil force who hates both cars and people. Liam (Bronchial Infection Suffering shut-in who owns 3 manual transmission vehicles and rambles about ne'er do wells on message boards) PS: I hate snow PPS: If you like it so much you come and shovel it
  11. I have a lot of books about Ireland and Irish History that I got when my dad died. Do you think these would be of any interest? I've been looking for a home for them.
  12. That CVS was built before they had drive through pharmacies. The last movie I remember seeing in the theatre that used to be there was The Weavers: Wasn't That a Time, which came out in 82, so I'm assuming that store was built in the 83-84 range.
  13. Joe Nisil's page is indeed awesome. That song is just fantastic. It predates me - I was of the "Come with your family / come with your friends...." generation.
