  1. Yea, I can understand that. I just can't wait to see what that part of town will look like after the park is finished. Can you say major revival???
  2. Do we know of any developments as far as residents, and business that want to build on the edge of the park once it is finished?
  3. The town of Trinity is crurrently ungoing an influx of 3 subdivision. The city now has about 1,000 residents, but, is probably closing in on about 2,000-2,500. http://www.decaturdaily.com/decaturdaily/n...13/trinty.shtml
  4. Decatur City Council considers extending sewer lines into western Morgan County. http://www.decaturdaily.com/decaturdaily/n...511/sewer.shtml
  5. I'd rather have one too. I don't think that Alabama really has a huge greek rivival style building. The ones like customs houses and stuff. Like ones in New York, or D.C., or Phili. It'd be awesome to have on. All stone, no hollow pilars.
  6. Thanx NCB! I like being able to see all the density of NO.
  7. Took this one the other night in my front yard.
  8. That's awesome. Exactly how many urban forestry divisions do we have in Alabama??
  9. Growing East Morgan County Industrial board works quietly for economic development EVA
  10. That sounds pretty good. Let's just hope everything goes smoothly.
  11. The State Legislature approved the bill that allows the Decatur Port Authority to operate beyond its three mile radius of the river. This means that the port authority can now assist in providing better infrastructure to the planned industrial park between Hartselle and Falkville. MONTGOMERY
  12. DU, Decatur Utilities, say that they currently support a proposition to build a 400-500 upscale housing subdivision. DU proposes that the city extend sewer lines one mile from Red Bank Road, and recoup the investment by charging other homeowners to tie into the line. Here's the full story: http://www.decaturdaily.com/decaturdaily/n...6/upscale.shtml
  13. Don't worry I will. The area is so beautiful.
  14. Haha, it sounds like one of those, full spead ahead wack the trees down and build at all costs, kinda jobs. The idea you suggest is the ideal one, but, also the unrealistic one. I'm not familiar with the area, but, wouldn't that require a lot of relocation of companies, industry, and business?
  15. That's an awesome development. It's great to see the foreign countries showing more interest and faith in Alabama.
  16. I didn't use any special effect or setting on this one, just macro setting. But, this is the Tennessee River, the portion that flows through Decatur, AL. Sunset over the CSX Bridge.
  17. Haha, it was either in "simple" or "macro". If it's darker outside, "macro" captures the details better and puts a little more boldness on the clouds. But, I made it more red on the PC, so, yea. The original picture was more purple.
  18. And another thread for developments just inside the two county area. Decatur, Hartselle, Moulton, Priceville, Falkville (HAHA), are all fair game.
  19. Park all the way. Not only would it be kinda historical. It might spur more interest in downtown to build new buildings that are better than that condo tower. Think of the future before you do what looks best for the now.
