  1. Any updates on the following: Thomas Street Tavern (moving?) Little Italy (being replaced) Zada Jane's (opening soon?) Also, what are the chances that someone buys up those crummy car dealerships on Central (across from Central Video & News)?
  2. Is the hot dog stand business lucrative? I've always wondered about that. Cheap supplies, cheap labor, cheap overhead. I wonder what the "break even" point is in terms of hot dogs sold in a night?
  3. Is nothing happening in Plaza Midwood these days? ZadaJane's gives a shout-out to the Flaming Lips on its sign. Not sure what that is all about.
  4. Has anyone been to Intermezzo Pizzeria? I'd appreciate reading some reviews. Price? Speed? Atmosphere? Taste?
  5. The Observer tabs Plaza Midwood as "the neighborhood to live in": Link to the 7.23 Observer article about Plaza Midwood
  6. First time poster. Discovered Urban Planet from today's Observer article about the Trump Tower. Was thrilled to see a chain on Plaza Midwood. I live in one of the vaguely Truman Show houses on Dunhill Drive. I've got a quick question - I'd appreciate hearing any thoughts you might have: Has anyone looked into developing the section of Central between Plaza/Morningside where LITTLE ITALY currently sits? It seems like there is a lot of space there ripe for development. Little Italy is great, but judging by its parking lot I don't think it's hyper-successful. It seems like they would sell with the right offer, and a developer would have a massive amount of real estate to play with. Has this been considered? Also - has anyone ever actually been inside Dirty Den's? I'd love to hear what it's like.
