  1. Couple of things: 1. The tower crane is now up and working at the Spire site. 2. The penthouses at the new Four Seasons will now sell for up to $10 milllion rather than the originial $8 million. 3. The parking lot has been cleared at 1401 Lawrence. Looks like the sales center will be built there with the building to follow. 4. The massive dirt lot across Blake from Coors Field is now being ripped up and made into apartments and condos. Lots and lots and lots...
  2. I'd say there were easily 30-40 different project downtown that have either been completed, began construction, or been proposed downtown in past 5 years or so. I'll look into maybe finding an exact number for you.
  3. A lot...I'll look at trying to tabulate them today.
  4. The new Four Seasons Denver will be 45 stories tall, and with the spire included, it'll be the 4th tallest building in Denver. The two story penthouses on top sell for ONLY $8 million. I think we can split that... I think the building is gorgeous and I can't wait for it to start.
  5. What a great day in Seattle.....I mean Denver! The Spire is officially underway - I hear permits are all in order. There will also be a press conference later this afternoon to talk about the new Four Seasons hotel...I'm going to sneak on down there and find out what I can this afternoon and I'll put up what I find out.
  6. What: 44-story hotel and residential condominium tower (rumored to be Four Seasons or St. Regis) - 102 condos and 235 hotel rooms Website: www.teatroresidences.com Name: 1515 Wynkoop Where: 15th St. and Wynkoop St. When: Construction will begin in the next few days (ceremonial groudbreaking was last week) What: 260,000 square feet of office with 26,150 square feet of retail space - going for LEED certification Website: http://www.hines.com/property/detail.aspx?id=1977 Name: Spire Where: 14th St. and Champa St. When: Construction should begin in April (HOPEFULLY!!) What: 41-story building with 505 residential condominiums Website: www.spiredenver.com That's all for today...I will post more real soon. Tried to jump all around downtown with these projects. I'll be on SPRING BREAK next week, but will try posting more before I take off.
  7. The new Embassy/Homewood Suites looks awesome! It'll be a perfect fit right across from the Convention Center. I've got some updates coming. I'll put 'em on this afternoon or tomorrow...gotta finish a couple things here before I do that. Maybe after lunch
  8. 1515 Wynkoop broke ground yesterday. Word is there is a sign up at 1400 Wynkoop - construction is occuring onsite right now. There is also a sign up at 1401 Lawrence for the new 50ish story condo tower.
  9. 1515 Wynkoop is actually office space. I don't think there is any residential involved, if I'm not mistaken. I personally really like the design for 1800 Larimer. I think its funky and adds a bit of color to the skyline. Sure, its a box, but at least it tries to be different. I know a lot of people are really torn on it. They either love it or hate it. And with its LEED certification, I think it only makes it better.
  10. That sounds like a plan to me! I've wrangled up a rendering or two here of 1515 Wynkoop.... http://www.denverinfill.com/images/blog/20...5-Wynkoop_1.jpg http://www.denverinfill.com/images/blog/20...5-Wynkoop_2.jpg I'll think about how I want to do a Denver "update." It may just be a series of posts or maybe one big one...I don't know. Thanks the welcome too!
  11. Hines Development's 1515 Wynkoop project at 15th St. & Wynkoop (next to the new EPA Region 8 Headquarters) will break ground Wednesday morning. Partial update #2...maybe if we all do small updates, we'll get the whole picture
