hey ka3kab did you go to any of the Cherry Festival stuff? I've been busy working on my first house the last month so i missed the festival expect for seeing the air show from my house.

I used to work at the Holiday Inn downtown and it was busy most of year.. alot of different groups on the weekends, leaf people, bowlers, salmon fishermen just to name a few

thanks for the update sbw600, i was unaware what was going on at those locations. Do you know if they are going to keep some of the old buildings at the skipstone crossing development?

nice pictures of the boardman river area ... it always amazes me that Boardman lake isnt as build up as other lakes in the area.. i mean its right in the middle of town

too many NIMBY's ... people want the town to still be the small town they use to have, what they dont realize is that it will never be that way again

great i am hoping to go down there soon to see a flick, and with Red Ginger and Amical next door it makes a perfect dinner and movie place.

I think they are showing mainly Indy films and on saturday they had the St Francis football game on the big screen

There seems to be a group of people who what the town to stay like it was 40 years ago, sorry people but your going to lose businesses from Downtown if you restrict what they can do with the property they own..... rumor has it if they dont build the parking garage on the federated property, a CVS type store will end up there which will be down right ugly

Film festival to take over stateTheater

The NIMBY's are winning in downtown Traverse City.... I wish they would've been more bulldog on the sprawl in Garfield Township

I like the first one the best but i dont see that happening because of the money that would be needed to move Grandview parrkway under ground. Moving The parkway south would be good but i dont understand where it would go seeing that the boardman river and downtown are directly south of the parkway now.
