  1. The support column rebar on the front section of the building are now bent at 90 degrees... so the front portion of the building is at its final height. Looks from the renderings the back 1/2 is another 2-3 stories.

  2. I drove by there the other day, and from the street you can clearly see into the units, up until probably the 10th floor. I am surprised they didnt use reflective glass... all of those windows on the end units will make it next to impossible for privacy on such a busy street.

  3. I have been in the building a week now. I think there are about 20 or so units occupied, the garage is surprisingly empty at night.

Circling up to the residential parking floors (7-9) isn't that bad really, but not as convienient as parking on the 2nd or 3rd floor for sure. The downtown lifestyle is supposed to mean not driving very often, maybe not even to work. When I lived at the Waverly for 2 years and worked downtown, I could easily go without driving somewhere for 2-3 days. So to me this isnt really an issue.

The garage is poorly designed though, with a huge blind spot on every floor and a few turns that feel very tight when exiting... I am sure when the movie theather opens there will be alot of accidents on the lower levels.

  4. what do you all think about that stack's code-mandated exposed sprinkler system and all the units' exposed concrete ceilings? great plywood texture finish.

I havent seen either in a "finsihed" condo so I dont know yet. The sprinkler system was just bare metal when I was there, I do hope it at least gets painted, if not I am sure both can be changed down the road.

  5. 16 stack, facing NW. I would guess the 15 stack faces NE (the master in xx15 looks over Lake Eola, not SunTrust as xx16 does).

Also for whoever has 2815... the windows in the master bedroom are floor to ceiling... the rest of the 15 and 16 stack have traditional windows in the bedroom.

The hole in the kitchen is for the stove. The door in reference goes into the laundry room... so if you do laundry while someone else is cooking there might be some bumping in eachother's way.

All of the counter tops are granite. Black in the kitchen and stone-ish in the bathrooms. Even floors have dark cherry cabinets, even floors have light cabinets.

  6. I didnt mind it, but dont live there yet so that might change... would be easy enough to cover over though I would think. I have a bunch of pictures if people want me to post them.
