^ I agree, it really is a money-maker for the area. I would imagine a lot of new businesses would open up to cater to that crowd as well.
I mean if you really dont want the noise to be a problem, go to the track and enjoy yourself. Is there something else better to do on that side of town? forget Mike Pagette hwy and bring to Tobacco rd, those people wont mind the noise.....they might just support it.

You would think the people of south augusta wouldnt be so picky about what is built on that side of town.
They have no idea what a "world-class dragstrip" would do for the area.....Im disappointed!

if interstate 3 and 14 become a reality, it will help every city in Georgia. whatever happened to that? I think alot of people in Tennessee are against it. Something about the Smoky moutains, right?

I thought I would post about this here instead of creating a new thread. What do you all think of them ending the city buses runing on Saturdays? I know a lot of people who have vistited here say that Augusta has one of the worse public transportation systems already but this will make it worse. I've never used the bus system here but I would hate to be someone who is depending on it. Here's an article.
what happened to the interstate 3 and interstate 14 plans.....it would the atl traffic and bring more business to the area.
