Nothing official yet.
As Onative said its not official yet so... we will just have to wait to see if it rises.
-
Most likely that is why all this has been hush hush.... but the article didnt detail very much, so as far as that goes its was pretty vague.

Yay, they finally annouced it, i have been working on this project off an on now for a while. It really is going to be a great thing for the area, a whole new cluster of high rises.

i think the meeting went well from what i heard most people that were there were for it, except for the little old lady who didnt want them to fix up the polluted citrus bowl site, b/c she wouldnt go there if it was polluted and she is 91 so she thinks that if you stay away from pollution you can live to be as old as her, she was so funny, and also assured us that the Bob Carr wasnt built in 1926 b/c she was here, and it wasnt, i dont know nor do i care if it was here, we need a new one. But she was cute and funny, but most people favored the projects and now we just need to get the dang things started.

There is a meeting/informational get together tonight at the admin building in downtown on Rosalind Street, about the proposed OPAC, Citrus Bowl, and Events Center project, i believe it starts at 7pm. If you are in favor of the OPAC and Arena come on down if not stay home please.

Looks like they could put a spinning restaurant on the top. Does anyone know what is planned up there on the conning tower?
Cool, i have been working on the plans for this site, off and on and it is nice to actually see what it will look like from a architechual standpoint, considering i have been doing just site work parking lots, and drainage stuff.

Do you know what is really funny, the fact that the 155 palmetto will probably get built and finished before the majesty building is finished, LOL.

Of course, if they signed a new, more lucrative, lease I'm sure they could stay.
Might be a little bluff (even if it's true) on Kuhn's part.
I don't see him being able to tear anything even slightly historic down. The preservation board would be very hard to get around because it's rules are a little more subjective than some of the other reviewers.
Kuhn is smart he knows what he is doing, if the buildings can be torn down and he wants to do it, he knew he could before he put his bid in. You dont just fork over 34million dollars without a plan, and he has one, i guessing the building on the north side of church and south side that are historic looking will stay and the rest will all come down. But only he knows what he is doing and what he has planned for this area, which i am sure will be great, we just need to wait for him to let us know.

what a great shot. just look at how far back they are going to widen that stretch of 408 to accomodate those exit lanes to I-4.
Those dead end beams will stay a dead end for a few years until they extend them up and over 408 to accomodate 408 westbound traffic to i4 westbound, for now that crazy merge of traffic switching lanes will become the 408 westbound to i4 westbound traffic until phase 2 of the interchange begins.

How is Johnson's Diner?
It is pretty good food they have a lot of southern cooking. It is a little greasy and heavy but good if you dont mind a few calories.

I can see commanding that price for the views that OrlandoNative posted, but for the 3rd floor... not even close. Are you sure the 3rd floor is around that price? I would think it would be slightly under 300k.
Im pretty sure its around there, from what i remember the cost was around 429k it might have been 6th floor but i dont think that price is even good for 6th floor, to each there own though.

Im not saying that its always the low income people that trash the place i suspect it though, i live next to one of the low income apt they had a dog and you arent allowed dogs at cityview, no where to walk it, they left the place a giant mess. Now there are new poeple there and they are noisey, and party all night long, every night. I should take some pics of the things that get trashed around the place, they literally rip the electronic key pads off the walls the day after they are replaced. We now have a door man to keep the common area downstairs under control now i guess, because the computer lab was getting trashed.

I live in paramore in Cityview and if they are going to bulldoze things there they need to make sure it is not built with that stupid controlled rent government bond idea, b/c that is just a crock of crap... the people that have to pay the full rent at these places for the most part take care of the place, the people that are paying the half priced rent just trash the place and cost the tax payers and full priced rent payers more money in the end and then they tell you, the person that pays the rent on time and takes care of the place that you cannot live there anymore b/c you make to much money even though you are paying fair market price for rent. I say tear parramore down and build condos or town homes that are not luxury but affordable for those who arent millionaires but have decent paying jobs and contribute to society instead of living off it.

OK history buffs, guess the year...
The middle to end of 1992. Because the new city hall is there as well as the old city hall and the old city hall came down in 1992 i believe after the new city hall was built.

This is not true. Neither is your accusation that they haven't sold any units since the last time you went. Changing locations has always been a part of the plan. I can personally account for friends or colleagues of mine that have bought 5 units since December 1st. You guys need to check your facts (or lack there of), it seems like a lot of people are posting nonsense lately regarding different projects just for the sake of seeing their name on the board.
Where are you guys getting this stuff from?
I talked to the sales agent in the Vue sales center and she told me they have 40 units left, that was the same number they had 6 months ago, if anyone is making up nonsense it is them, and i dont believe there are 40 units left i think there are quite a few more. They are told to say that to create hype for this project in hopes that sales will pick up, kinda a scare into buying soon before they sell out sorta deal. And They are moving to the Realestate office Sothebys International at the corner there b/c they need help selling the units, that came from my agent that works there at Sothebys. I am not making stuff up, i think that people that cant accept the fact that the condo market has slowed down and that the prices are to high just dont want to believe the facts. ITS REALITY FOLKS.

Wow, i have to say that is impressive, i do have a couple questions though, did you get the overflowing bathtub in the master bathroom, and do you have access to the rooftop sundecks, with the summer kitchens? And Also did they give you choices as to what you could put in the condo as far as floors and countertops and stuff, b/c i know when i went to look at the sales center she told me each unit had a standard item for everything and there wouldnt be any different products picked by owners, and she assured me that i would like everything she picked out to go into the unit. I was like if i am paying that much i want some choices, lol.
