  1. This project will most likelybe another loser!! Just throw in th towel now. Disfunctional tied in with a second tier city. A sure loser. Give it up now and focus on other parts of the municipality. The mall property is dead!!! Now and forever! Say goodby.
  2. The plan is terrible! Everything just put in a place. Who is this office and what if they don't get them? What does this do to their plan? Going back, the plan does have more connectivity than Greenridge. A good start. At Greenridge: Can you walk from Lowes to Wine Store, Book Store, Sporting Good Store? No. Can you really walk from Book store to outparcel restaraunts or retail location? No. A very weak design for sure as far as pedestrian connectivity. Hopefully the mall site will be better. So far it looks like there are at least sidewalks connectiing all parts together. We will have to see how the developer evolves this project. Hopefully they are committed to a real mixed-use project.
  3. With the right design you can never know what tenants it will attract.
  4. A very accurate statement. Lets all give this developer and project time to evolve. It is not every day that a very large mixed-use projet is built in Greenville. It is hard to imagine the complicity of the process to work thru the design and ultimate implimentation of such a project. Not sure if this developer can deliver or not?? Hopefully, a dream I am sure, they will bring in some nationally recoginized designers to make this really into something everyone in Greenville can be proud. A dream for sure! Lets all give it some time.
  5. This means it is not Charlotte, Dallas, LA, San Francisco, Atlanta, etc. While it may be hometown to some, the demographics do not compare to many cities in the USA. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing in some respects, but for many, many retailers Greenville is not and will not be on the radar screen for some time.
  6. A reasonable response. Remember economics drive everything. An overdone rooftop will not sell more units or get a higher price. This is Greenville afterall. Although a very nice place and a lot going for it, Greenville is a "second tier" city at best.
  7. Give us everyone some idea of what you think it should look like???
  8. Don't you know anything about construction? It is much more expensive to have a tower structure as part of a parking structure. Efficient structure design is one of the key economic driving forces to any successful project.
