I could see it going to Idrive if Orange county incorporated with Orlando but why should a team called the Orlando magics be out side of the Orlando city limits?

Miami has a hard time supporting a Baseball team and they have a metro of five million people we have a metro of 2.2 million. I don't think that'd work out well. I think a soccer team is the best solution for the Citrus bowl but is it worth a quarter of a billion dollars?

I've been so sketchy about this because can we really get a football team? We're bigger then most cities that qualify for one (i.e. Nashville, Jacksonville) but we're an hour from Tampa, 2 and half hours from Jacksonville, 4 hours from Miami. Do you think that such a close area can support 4 FB teams? On the other hand the Citrus bowl could be held for MLS but do you think that would justify a stadium with 70,000 seats?

When I moved here I felt like it was lacking total height but I feel that the density that this new wave of buildings are putting in is great. Alot of the bulidings that are under construction are taller then most of the current ones. i.e. the vue, 55 west, dynetech. While it's sad that cities like Jacksonville and Nashville that have smaller metros then us have got us beat on height we make up for it with a very clean downtown. + we're catching up with commuter rail, new PAC, new arena, fixed citrus bowl. I think Orlando is an awsome city already but it's only getting better.

I was driving to Orlando the other night from the 408 E. and I was shocked by all the cranes. I personally think there are more cranes then there are buildings right now. How long til you think all the buildings are built and how many more highrises do you think they'll add?

If we get the basketball team from Puerto Rico couldn't they take the T.D. Waterhouse? Has anyone heard anything about that team yet?

Orlando has got like 2 mil people metro and Tampas got 2.7 mil people metro. Do you think 4.7 million people is a big enough of a number to justify another team?

I was listening to Bud Heddinger today and he made a good point. What's the point of refurbishing our Citrus bowl? We probably won't get an NFL team since Tampa which is a little over and hour away has one and so does Jacksonville. What's the points of spending a quarter of a billion dollars on a stadium that you can't put a football team in? I am all for the Orena and the Opac but what's the point of the Citrus bowl?

So is this just guessing or do we think there will be a new Orena? That article said by 2008 does that even sound possible?

If Orlando gets a new Orena and/or more pro teams we'd have more to offer then most cities. (i.e. our theme parks, pro sports teams, close beaches etc, etc.) I think this would be great for the Orlando arts but the question is it worth all the money?

I believe pretty much all of the "pro Orlando cheering section" (which I am proud to be a part of) said that Orlando is an international destination not an international city. You refuted that with Disney and all of the theme parks aren't Orlando when in all actuality the majority of people thought of them as Orlando.

Idrive appeals to tourists and locals that's why it sells out sooner.

MLB: Just adding there is always the possibility, especially with the D-Rays and Marlins struggling the way they are for fans. Would baseball work in Orlando? Possibly, however it is definitly something the city could look into affter the tax is approved.

If we get a new citrus bowl and a new orena what all could they be held for? Do you think there are any chances we'd get a NFL and an MLS team in the citrus bowl and have NBA and NHL in the Orena? I think Orlando is ready for more sport teams but do you think we'll ever get them?
