A 2025 groundbreaking is set for The St. Regis Nashville and The Residences a the St. Regis Nashville.
There are only 12 St. Regis Hotels in the U.S. There are 48 others around the world (three in Africa, 24 in Asia, six in Central America and the Caribbean, six in Europe, 11 in the Middle East).

Really tho!!! An IKEA over a Bergdorfs. That literally just made my stomach hurt. I think I'm feeling a little sick now and need to go lay down.

I may know where the Ritz new location is but it is speculation but I cannot reveal the location without revealing the project and developer if it is where I suspect it is. I will say it would not be far from the original location if this pans out. A project was supposed to be announced very soon and the brand may have abruptly changed now. The original branding would have been exceptional as well.
All I can say is we will know when we know and I may not know until the news hits the media. These folks have money too.
Can they start construction on the current site and then move it to the new location once everything is finalized with the new deal and location?

Why Tanger Outlet Mall is a turning point for Antioch:
https://www.tennessean.com/story/money/2023/11/06/nashvilles-tanger-outlets-marks-turning-point-for-economy-in-antioch/71387262007/Looks like there's been some mass shoplifting at the new Tanger Outlet already. I'll give it 5 years max and it'll be turned into barber shops and hair salons.

Is there a Bergdorfs or Hermes in this development? If not, then I'll probably never go.

They're thinking too small - this area should be a hub, a major draw with significantly more housing and height, and less surface parking.
I agree... I was thinking along the lines of having a Bergdorfs, Hermes, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Balenciaga, a Fendi store, etc.

Companies should give people the option. The people who likes being around and interacting with other people are free to go back into the office, but the people who don't want to be around other people and who prefer to only interact via zoom should have the freedom to work remotely. With all the mass shootings going on, I'll never feel safe going back into an orifice.

I've been working from home for over 8 years now and I actually work longer hours and even some weekends. I can't imagine going back into an office.

People don't want to go back into the office. If productivity isn't impacted, then why force people back to the office. I just told my coworkers that I have no desire to see them face-to-face and I don't really like them. Thank goodness my office is in another state and there's no possible way for me to return to an office.

I'm not sure how pleasant outdoor dining is going to be when a bunch of inebriated Woo Girls followed close behind by their equally inebriated male tag alongs start making their rounds on 2nd Ave.
Just doesn't seem appetizin'.
I LOVE outdoor dining. One of my favorite things to do when I'm in Rome or Paris.

LOVE that idea.

Ugh!!! I haven't seen one benefit from the Titans being here.
It's so sad when you drive downtown and see all the homeless people, zero infrastructure improvements, zero mass transit, but we sure can go watch a bunch of grown men run up and down a patch of grass after a ball.
I hope they lose every game they play in the new stadium. A losing team will eventually result in low attendance and eventually the Titans will go away.

So it looks like IKEA is going to open 8 more stores in the US. What do y'all think our odds are with the Memphis store so close by. Maybe a small urban store?
Instead of IKEA, I'd rather we get a Bergdorf's and Hermes. I think we all would be much happier.

You have to watch out for crazy people driving U Hauls on the sidewalk there you know. You really are not safe anywhere you go.
True, but I ran track in high school and college. I ran the 100 meters in 6.2 seconds. So, I think I'll have a better chance of running from a U Haul than a mass shooter.

Construction continues on the Tanger Factory Outlets Mall in Century Farms, which is scheduled to open this fall.
Expected retailers at the southeast Nashville location include Michael Kors, Vera Bradley, Fossil, Oakley, Levi's, Ralph Lauren, American Eagle Outfitters, Aerie, Under Armour, Puma and Nike.
While many of the retailers are expected to be national chains, Tanger Outlets CEO Stephen Yalof said the ultimate goal is to create a combination of high-demand retail stores and locally based restaurants and businesses.
Just Love Coffee Cafe, with locally owned and operated locations across Middle Tennessee, is one such example expected to be included.
For the first time in any Tanger Outlets location, the shopping center will surround a publicly accessible greenspace.
Stats:- 290,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space
- 32 acres of land
- 70 retailers
- 700 jobs during 18 months of construction
-
1,100 permanent jobs
More behind The Tennessean paywall here:

Some new renderings:
Very nice. I find myself only dining in hotel based restaurants now because of all the mass shootings going on. Most hotel dining options are far removed from the entrance and most upscale hotels have on-site security. As far as shopping, I'll wait until I'm in New York to shop.
