Unfortunately, I am being hopeful regarding Mead Westvaco. I haven't bugged their offices yet.

You all should check out Triple Crossing Coffee. It is in the Baskervill building (next to Stool Pigeons). Really cool place and the coffee is excellent.

Don't give up on downtown and MWV yet.....

That's not a real Starbucks though BGW. They supply the supermarket or bookstore with their coffee and train the retailer's employees. They don't actually run the coffee shops. I'm actually surprised they do this though. I would think they would want total control to protect their brand.

NORVA has extended their due diligence period. They have not closed yet.

Burt,
Nick's is the specialty Greek grocery and it is still operating.

Check out the lighting on the 2300 block of Park Avenue. I believe that is what the Fan will be installing. This block was used as a pilot test.

Not yet on DOSE.

Burt,
It is not an official First Friday event. 1708 and Quirk will be open though on the First Friday of July.

I frequent Lift fairly regularly. I like their chicken pesto panini. They need to open on the weekends however...They are a coffee shop after all.

While First Friday will not officially happen Friday, July7, 1708 and Quirk will be open. Quirk is exhibiting custom designed dog houses and will have a sidewalk sale. They will also have a sidewalk sale and hot dogs on Saturday.

I believe the NORVA group is still in their due diligence period. The closing should happen soon though.

I finally registered. I'm not sure if this is a good thing though....Things do seem to be a little more civil here. And I plan to check out the Bank soon.

I was in Crapa's place for a nightcap Saturday night. I look forward to eating there.
