  1. I thought onative implied that he was sending some info over here based on the plaza board
  2. Just heard an Interview with Dyer...There will be buissiness under I4 and the parking will go away in the future
  3. Let's not forget the impact this SHOULD have on some up in the air projects!
  4. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooo, dang it I wanted to see that!
  5. So...you are not explaining why they "suck" you are using it as an explanation for your comment. Then informing us of your assumption of a future that will never be realized (also based that the Magic "suck") THANK you for your quality post! (You didn't need to explicitly state that your "a Gator and [your] biased" we already could interpret that)
  6. I wouldn't be surprised if they extend I drive/Oakridge over i-4 not only for usage but then they can scrap the Kirkman bridge and just rebuild in the exact same space (like Saxon in Deltona, European technique) while having a formidable detour

Any word on the Possible I-Drive Monorail? we should get Conan O'Brien to craft us a monorail.

You know I had this great idea... Never Widen I-4, make it illegal to do so. 408 for that matter. Sounds crazy but the second it passed every person could stop futilely thinking/assuming that in time it will meet our needs. They will have to move on to more urban, environmental, modern methods of transportation. Mainly Rail yes but everything could be built upon; we could have three times the rail system in the works with an extensive bus system branching from each node. Not to mention we could also look to the east for some of these plans. Plus, and most importantly in my mind it could be design to curb urban sprawl, such consequences of doing nothing to stop it seem unimaginable. That

    possibly your Ovaltine ring though...
  10. Thats b/c Orlando is transplant so they dont want to spend their money on a City they think they are too good for...which I simply say, "Go Home Then!" Most Orlandians don't deserve the future that forward thinkers like those in this forum are carving out!
  11. It's unfortunate though that the two venues aren't going into areas that could then easily support growth directly near it, I'm not talking like the Citrus bowl where it is near nothing at all, but the PAC will be boxed in by already recently developed parcels (CNL, City Hall, Westin, etc.) and the Orena will likely still be on the opposite side of I-4 as the CBD. Thus neither is going to have developers paying the city incentives to build near them before they're done like Miami. HOWEVER, I am fully in support of both to the max along with the Citrus Bowl, with the Orena coming first then PAC the Stadium
  12. All of the gambling makes officials uneasy, thats why they dont have any teams, plus there have been scandals with UNLV.
  13. 95% of Cities aren't the #2 tourist destination in the country behind a city that has no real pro sports teams and is not a very good fit for real sports leagues (NBA, NFL, MLB,...)
  14. I hear you there are to many short sighted old people that agree with the Mike Thomas guy from the Sentinal who hates sports. This arena is such a good thing for Orlando.

Sorry to play stupid but does anyone know what the currenct stage is in getting rail or where I could find official info on the topic? Thanks
  16. I think an arena by the CC would help Orlando tremendously with even larger scale conferences like the DNC/RNC but I've heard Dyer say recently on Sentinel Sports on the radio say that their research shows that would not be good for the team. He didn't sound like it was going down there. Not to mention that I think he wants it in the Centroplex still b/c of his desired tech village in conjunction with UCF near the TD 'house.
