  1. Did you get your deposit back? Should I even mention the interest? Centrocityworks hasn't bothered to send any notice on the conversion to rentals? I am totally disappointed since I believed they were highly reputable.
  2. Can anyone confirm that the entire Quarterside (the Quad, Ledge, and Row) project has been converted to apartments? Mr. Furman's sale staff is not doing a very good job of informing their former clients of the new events. It is quite a shock when the information is learned through an outside source (news article).
  3. There are alot of personnel changes in Centrocityworks...to many to keep up with. It's is becoming a big concern when trying to communicate with people who disappear and do not send any type of notification of change.
  4. With your last walk through, it was the perfect opportunity to receive an answer to all your inquiries. The only info available to me was the inspections/holidays delaying the closings and the closings taking place this month. That you are not closing in January there may be another hold up of some kind. You need to get some ground answers. About the Row, it was a proposal on part of the investor. Centrocityworks had no plans to sell the building to this individual. The lot next to it....Furman put a bid in. Now this was the response a month ago. I am curious about whats happening with the folks at the Ledge.
  5. Continue to wait for a response...did check Centrocityworks website and the Row is no longer listed. Are you certain of the Row's future?
  6. I bought into the Quad. This is a surprise to me. I do have a closing date. Why don't you? Did send message to Centro on these concerns and have not received a reply.
  7. Seems like The Row is under construction. Has all it's units been sold out too?
  8. You stated a "COUPLE OF YEARS AGO"...past tense. Do you trust what all "RE agents" say? The big example the Renwick to the Enclave! Earth to Graydog!
  9. In UrbanCharlotte photos, the first two are the Enclave. Everyone sounds bitter with the scenario of the Renwick to the Enclave. This is called Capitalism. A permissable license to sell the "American Dream" at any cost. It's a dramatic change from the American Dream 40 years ago. Maybe the Enclave builders know something ya all don't know about that area to justify their prices. If people are willing to pay these then something grandeur will be coming to fruition soon!
  10. UrbanCharlotte, Thanks for the pixs . You said three buildings. Is the Row being built also? Which is which in your photos?
  11. For those speculative individuals guessing on Donald Trump's massive endeavors with the probability of a Charlotte, I just arrived from Honolulu, Hawaii and he's building on Waikiki. Cheers!
  12. Uptown Folks, Any updates on the First Ward Furman projects? What's the Quarterside looking like lately?
  13. Thank you for your vote of confidence. My parents property is a miniscule percent of my testimony!
  14. Mr. Trump has built 2 towers, 1 partially finished, and another one in the planning in North Miami Beach (Sunnyisles), Florida. The real estate prices of anything within a 10 mile radius has skyrocketed. If he decides to build in the Uptown area of Charlotte expect a considerable hike in prices of the entire area! If the rumor is true, heads up for those who would like a piece of the pie.
  15. Hey Folks, Anyone know how's the Quad and the Ledge coming around?
  16. Reid's is a great gourment store, however, they have sort of a monopoly going on. They need some superb competion not mediocre ones. That's what this country is all about! Fresh Foods market is an example of a classic contemporary gourmet with some pizzazz! First Ward, specially where Quarterside is being built, needs some jazzing! The area is somewhat blah and besides Reids is not within walking distance when it's one of those cold bone chilling days!
  17. Hey, it's 2006....terminology......it's not colonial antiquities! And by selling over 90% of only one project in several days, Furman is definitely not a failure!
  18. Are you stating the residents are criminals? It's not a nail salon it's called A SPA!
  19. What kind of retail has moved into the Furman buildings? IE..gourmet, restaurants, specialty, etc? Does Furman have certain clientele in mind to fill those shopping areas? That is, wouldn't it make sense if the businesses were geared for the practical needs of the residents in that particular building and those adjacent to them....such as a gourmet grocery store or a Starbucks! First Ward is in desperate need of these. The government area is just around the corner of Quarterside! Has anyone spoken to future residents or retailer tenents and asked what they would like to see in retailers for convenience sake?
  20. The few remaining units, those reserved or set aside by Centro Blvd, are up for sale at a high price. The Row will doubtfully be no more economical from those of the previously priced Renwick. The difference between the sales pitch of the Renwick and of Centro is the Renwick was given to Remax agents to sale. Quarterside has David Furman's professionals. No agents are allowed. For proof, David Furman's niece was the sales agent for the Ledge.
  21. Out of curiosity, what happens to those customers who have negotiated and closed on mortgage loans, taking advantage of the the craze of low rates, on these units?
  22. Arigatou for both of the responses above. It's good to hear of the incentives. BC's block of three buildings seems like it will be a nice micro 'neighborhood' in itself. My friend is looking forward to the day it's completed.
  23. Joshuacc, Thanks for your information. According to my source, BC was supposed to begin construction on the Quad during the Summer. It is amazing that the Quad and the Ledge would sell at those prices and the speed with a Firehouse Station at the corner. Will this be your primary residence?
  24. I appreciate the reminder. Many months ago, the question of the Firehouse was asked and several members of this forum replied with the noise problem around the town area. Although the diagonal landmark may be an influence on the future residences, the Quad was sold out within days versus the Ledge. And my friend has described where the Quad would be built within the block. The question was if any type of construction has begun on the Quad?
