hey i was just wondering if there are any buildings that are exactly the same or are very closely the same design in two different cities. im sure its been done but i think itd be a nice way to make some sort of a bond between cities.

Detroit's Renaissance Center and Atlanta's Peachtree Plaza are spitting images of each other. Both were designed by John Portman in 1976-77.

Bank of America in San Francisco was built in 1969 at 779 feet, 52 stories.

11 years later, 1100 Louisiana in Houston was built at 748 feet, 55 stories. It is modeled after BofA; both built by SOM.

Both have brownish granite facades, triangular cutaway ripples (Wachovia Center in Miami also has this design) and bay windows.

Freedom Tower and the Biltmore Hotel in Miami, while not twins, have very similar design elements. They were both based on the Giraldi tower in Spain. I think there's a few more in the US.

Clevland's - Key Tower and Charlotte's Bank of America are very similar. Sorry that I don't have pics to post right now.

Toronto's Scotia Plaza is also pretty similar to the Miami and San Francisco buildings...

Asheville, NC's BB&T tower

Augusta, GA's Wachovia tower (black tower in middle, sorry its the best pic i have at work...)

This view shows the base on the right, which shows that its a very similar design...

I think this identical design occurs in other cities, but these are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head...
