That is good that such a rundown place will get an upgrade. Good news!

Yeah. This is a good catalyst for future developments in the area too. The neighborhood was hit hard by suburban flight, and as a result is in poor condition.

The whole region around Highland Park was hit especially hard when ford left and in my opinion it is the worst shape of any neighborhood in the city

Highland Park is pretty bad. Fortunately, I think it has fallen as far as it can, and will see population gains in the near future. Everyone who has the money to leave the city has left. The only people who are still there are those who can't afford to move.
