South Alabama Retail Wishlist

Despite the debut of three rather successful lifestyle centers in the last few years, South Alabama still has a dearth of mid-scale retailers. What stores would you like to see in Mobile and Baldwin Counties?

Aldo Shoes

Apple

Arden B.

Bailey Banks and Biddle (They actually had a store at Bel Air Mall in the '90s!)

Baker Shoes

Banana Republic

Costco

IKEA

J. Crew

Restoration Hardware

Sephora

Which retailers would you like to enter the market?

I would love to see Whole Foods open a store somewhere in Spring Hill- perhaps where the Bruno's supermarket is currently located at Spring Hill Village.

With no vacancies or expansion plans in place at Bel Air Mall and no other large scale retail projects on the radar, I can't see Macy's entering Mobile's market any time soon.

I would like to see the Festival Centre repositioned as an entertainment destination of sorts, with an upscale multiplex, bookstore and quality eateries.
