Thermal Site saga heating up again. From the Tennessean:

Tower, Barry to team up on downtown development

Two developers are teaming up to make a bid for the former site of the Nashville Thermal Transfer Plant.

Woodland, Calif.-based Tower Investments LLC, owners of three Lower Broadway buildings and eight acres south of the Sommet Center, and Atlanta-based Barry Real Estate Companies, the developer of the Pinnacle at Symphony Place office tower under construction on Third Avenue South, said Tuesday that they will jointly submit a mixed-use plan for the 11-acre site.

The announcement comes as the Metro Council is setting up a process to review proposals for the riverfront site, which had its future thrown in doubt when a city-backed deal to build a baseball park on the site fell apart earlier this year.

Tower and Barry did not give any details of their plans in a press release announcing the partnership.
