Of course I hope most everyone here knows they will be played at our very own Van Andel tonite

Tonite at 5 PM Is Notre-Dame and Alabama Huntsville, with the big game later being (for most) Michigan State and Boston. It should be like a home game for ND, and MSU. On Saturday the winners of each of the two games will play each other.

This will be an interesting night of hockey, and its something I look forward to when it comes to GR. I haven't decided where I'm going to eat in between games, but I'm open for sugestions as well. I'm so excited since I got my new job I could WALK to the game after work, which is going to be a fun experience. :yahoo:

That was a fun game :) about the only thing both fans cheered for at the same time was the outcome of the Michigan and North Dakota game :yahoo: It was a little more then half full at this even, but considering most college hockey arenas hold 3,000 I thought the crowd was respectable.

I guess the selection comittee knew what they were doing by not having Notre Dame as the #1 overall seed. The Minnesota-North Dakota winner will win the national title, mark my words.

I would think having two "home" teams could have sold out the Van this time around. In the past, its just been one local team playing in GR for the regionals.

Hey, has anyone noticed the Spartans beat Maine last night in the "Frozen Four" semi-final and will play Boston College for the NCAA Hockey Championship???!!! :D

I'm happy for the Spartans and all of us alumni/fans, but I don't think the team was supposed to be that good.... Anyway, it's obviously turned out to be a great season for them and could even be one step better after Saturday night.

MSU wasn't all that great this year and had a "down year" during the regular season. However, they have looked good during the postseason and Lerg could be a difference maker later tonight.

Sheesh, if Michigan had an average goalie instead of a terrible Sauer, this could have been an all Michigan final.

I'm a grad of both the "Big" schools in Michigan. With U of M, I have noticed most students and alumni expect championships, with MSU, each one is a gift and a treasure.... Particularly this one! I can understand why several of the players were crying afterwards.

Who'd a thunk it???
