The Republican scandles are turning into an avalanche!

Rep. Curt Weldon from Pennsylvania is now under investigation by the FBI for possible illegal dealings with lobbyists. The dealings involve his daughter and sound very shady.

Of course, there's hardly anything really upstanding about a Republican. They just like to hide behind masks.

Larry Sabato's newest projections are for the Democrats to hold anywhere from 221 to 225 seats in congress. They could also take the senate.

It is quite possible that Republicans might not pick up any seats at all in congress, which would be very bad for them. There are currently no toss-up or leans R seats held by democrats and there are about 50 held by Republicans that are in danger of being lost.

If Democrats make a gain of more than 20 seats in the house with all the redistricting that has gone on, it will be a MAJOR blow to Bush, his administration, and his party.

Tonite, yahoo news reported that the FBI searched the properties of Weldon's daughter and another Republican fund raiser today. Boxes "were taken".

Weldon is now in a close race with his Democratic opponent to win a 12th term. Let's hope voters remember all this hanky panky when they go to the polls in Pennsylvania.
